No Infinity War spoilers!
So, Infinity War's timeline reference (two years since Civil War) left me with concerns. Civil War happened two months before the September or October of Peter Parker's sophomore year. Kevin Feige has teased "he, yes, goes back to his junior year after Avengers 4.
So let's start by ignoring the famous "eight years after the Battle of New York", which has been officially termed incorrect.
As long as Avengers 4 ends in the spring of the second year after Civil War, that's 21 months, so "two years" fits colloquial speech. Civil War definitely took place the summer after Peter completed his freshman year of high school (ninth grade). Vision says it's Iron Man Year 8. So we have:
IM Year 1: Iron Man, Peter Parker completes the first grade.
IM Year X: "Fury's Big Week": The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 and Thor.
IM Year X+1: The Avengers, when Nick Fury refers to Mjolnir "last year."
December 2012: Iron Man 3... I don't remember a floating reference in this one.
2014: Guardians of the Galaxy & vol. 2... our other fixed reference.
IM Year X+3: Captain America: The Winter Soldier? See below. If the Avengers got back together between the end of this and the beginning of AoU, they could have reacted to the unknown extraterrestrial goo (Ego) off-screen as long as this film isn't pushed beyond 2014. The Dark Elf attack on Asgard in Thor: The Dark World took place not long before the ending of Captain America: The Winter Soldier unless Agents of SHIELD gets disowned.
IM Year X+4: Avengers: Age of Ultron? Falcon tells Steve Rogers they searched for Bucky for two years in Civil War, while in AoU "it's been a year." The Ultron-Civil War gap could be longer if they gave up. Ant-Man can occur any time between Falcon becoming an Avenger at the end of this film and Civil War.
IM Year X+6: During Thor: Ragnarok, Thor meets Hulk on Sakaar and learns he hasn't been Banner for two years. Since this film ends where Infinity War begins, the smaller the number X is, the more problematic.
IM Year 8, July: Civil War, Parker has completed the ninth grade. One week after, Black Panther starts.
Sep-Oct: Spider-Man Homecoming. This is probably when T'Challa reveals Wakanda's invisible city to the United Nations.
IM Year 10, Jan-May: Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers 4, the latter part of Parker's junior year.
So what do you think is the gap between Iron Man and Fury's Big Week? I like to think that Civil War was Iron Man's Year X+5, solving for 3. This way the characters aging between stories matches up to the actors's.
Does everything else fit?
