Everyone is ignoring the fact that Hulk is not savage and dumb at the moment. As a matter of fact, when that Sentry issue came out Hulk wasn't supposed to be dumb. His current incarnation isn't that dumb at all, and he is still strong as hell and gets stronger with rage.

Paul Jenkins wrote a bad story with Hulk getting all of his bones broken and being scared of the Void. That is completely OOC, and the current incarnation of Hulk (I'm talking personality) would be SO pissed and would not stop trying to kill the Void.

Omit that it was totally accurate (the being afraid of Void part) to the original Sentry mini.

I think the part that everyone misses about the Hulk being afraid of the Void is the subtle undertones. He's not afraid of him because he hurt him so badly... Others have hurt the Hulk but he keeps coming back for more. He's afraid because the Void hurts his SOUL. The Void is a darkness so cold and so evil that the simple minded Hulk is terrified. I don't think the current Hulk would fear him per se, but he certainly wouldn't rush in to fight him either.

Back to the fight... In an early victory, I'd go with Wonderman. If the battle drags on, I'll go with Hulk. The Thing wouldn't stand a chance. Period.

Why does Wonder Man keep ending up in here? I did some research, Power Man is NOT the same guy. This fight deals with Power Man, Hulk, and Thing, no? If that's the case, I think Hulk pretty much has this in the bag.

In the first few posts we find out that the thread starter made a mistake in names and he meant WONDER Man and not Power Man.

(chuckle)
Besides:
Cage beats Banner,
Cage incapacitates Simon,
Cage replaces Ben,..........

As Per "Bendis" Protocols.

The sad thing about that post is that I actually believe that there's such a thing as Bendis Protocols.:(

Cage is a bum that wants to be down.Captain America would embarass his ass easily. Hulk could beat him with his pinky

We both know I'm not serious,.... Bendis would NEVER do this sort of thing.

rite?

when I said he wanted to be down, I meant that he thinks he's one the big boys. example, telling Capt and Stark that since he's joining things will be different(seriously who does he think he is) second he's nothing but a brawler with some extra pop, Capt has fought plenty like him and it'll be a peice of cake. he's overhyped

Oh, I thought that you were implying that you thought that Caop had a better ass than Luke or something nefarious like that.:o

:p

Oh plz,... they asked him to join and he sez that if he does there will be a few things done differently.

It's in character for cage.

They could say no to anything he wanted change in,.. and he would've stepped.

Also in character for cage,... He has and always has had a large moral streak as far as right and wrong and wouldn't work with/for anyone he couldn't respect.

He has hung out with and run with "the Big Boys" for years,.. embarrassed IronMan, been helped and helped Spiderman on too many occasions-the last time punking out the green goblin, Ran with Storm, Helped Captain America solve a few things - he's been in plain sight in the MU, and since he's seen as "background" by most of the readers who have their own favs,.. folk would like to think he's never been in the mix.

He's always been "more" than a brawler,.. but thats okay,.. that is the way he's seen by the majority that has never read him.

Captain America has not fought someone like him before,... but I wouldn't want him to.

Just like the BP - CA fight,.. too many fanboys will whine about any outcome other than cap winning easily.

So I guess I'm agreeing to disagree - Cage putting conditions on working with the Avengers is on a par with what has been written about him and is a part of what makes him Cage. If he can't respect you because you can come up to his BASE level,.. then he can't be bothered with you.

Peace.

Things did get different after Cage joined.

Notice the correlation.

Cage becomes an Avenger, which I'm sure people said hell would HAVE to freeze over first.

And the SHRA comes into play. Big change.

The Avengers also did a "neighborhood watch" thing in one of the issues; something they had never done. It was at Cage's insistance and as a way of reminding them that you have to care for the "little guy" also and not just the supervillains and cosmic crap. Who does he think he is? A member of the Avengers with equal rights to respect and consideration as the other members and from the other members.

I actually liked that "sit in" that Cage suggested. I actually enjoy a thought where the Avengers didn't do anything but sit on their duff's until something important enough came along for them.

Yet it's still way more fun to respond to it as if it were Thing vs. Hulk vs. Luke Cage. :) :D

'Cause Cage open a can a' whoop-ass all over them crackas!

Bwaahaahaa!! man you're funny..(whew) for a second there I thought you were serious(good joke though)

What? Joking? Cage makes Electro piss his pants and pass out. And Electro could destroy Hulk and Thing. On his own. Ergo, Cage beats their asses red.

[Horrorfan]If Spidey beats Electro and Electro beats the Hulk AND the Thing then that means that Spidey can beat the Hulk and the Thing.:D:up:[/Horrorfan]
