Prestige Question...

Okay wasn't Bale's character convicted of murdering Angier (Jackman) in the beginning... they charged him with placing the sealed water tank under the Tesla machine or something... but doesn't Hugh Jackman appear in front of hundreds of witnesses once the duplicate appears in the back of the theatre in less than ten seconds (Hugh couldn't have known Bale found his other body in that time). Hundreds of witnesses twould have seen Angier alive after shortly after the other Hugh was trapped under water. My question is... does Angier just go into hiding after his other dead body was discovered... it wouldn't make any sense since he was already seen 50 yards away from the scene of his apparent death... how did they figure Bale still managed to get Hugh's body in the water tank after the real Hugh was well away from the bottom of the stage?

He doesn't appear in front of the audience, he walked into the audience after he appears. You never saw him actually appear in the audience. You see him step out onto the balcony when he did the trick successfully before. It's why you see the shot from the balcony when you hear Bale screaming for the key. He hid when he heard him down there.
