2. The Plot: Two rival magicians in turn-of-the-century London battle each other for trade secrets. The title refers to the residue left after a magician's successful trick.

3. Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins) is director.

4. Cast: Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, David Bowie, Piper Perabo, Andy Serkis.

5. It will be released on October 27th.

What I think about it?

The Prestige is my favorite book. When I read first 2 pages, I was thinking it was boring book. But next day I loved it. It was very good book and I hope it will be good movie adaptation.
So I am looking forward to it.

I dont think this movie will get hgh numbers (my predictions: $65-85m domesticly and $95-105m in overseas), but critics will love it.

I actually hadn't seen that picture of Bale in the Prestige before, and I've been looking foward to this one for awhile. I really should read the book before the film comes out (its my summer now so I have the time). The release is suppose to be the end of October, so hopefully a teaser or trailer is right around the corner.

The book is very good and original. I don't know how the movie will flow but the book jumped around a little, but they could still do the movie like the book and have it work. The scenes with Tesla should be interesting.
