everyone's reveling in the fact that some of the ps3's are faulty, but why is no one talking about the wii's issues?

many consumers are complaining that their systems require a 'start-up disk' which was not included. these were actually demo systems that were accidentally shipped... oops.

also, many more consumers bought wii's which 'died' minutes after play, some refusing to read any disks at all, and some simply just not starting up.

severe periferal (sp?) shortages were also noted, most frequent the nunchuck attachment.

No problems for me, so I'm good.

No problem with mine so far. :D

of course I also had a first gen PS2 and had no problems with it when everyone else was.:oldrazz:

I've had no problems really, except for of course, when my Wiimote met my foot, then there was a problem, but other than that, nope, no problems.

That was just an accident. Not a problem out of the box. But it's good you got that straightened out.

well, that's good that none of you guys have had problems yet.

If you have problems with you wii, perhaps you should go to the urologist!

Ha! Ha! Ha!

Ok, I'm done... :(

You'll never make it in this town, kid.

The single issue I have with my Wii was that on the first day, it wouldn't connect to the VC. After that first day though, not a single problem.

My Wii for whatever reason refused to read wii sports like one time, aside from that I haven't had a problem. Though if you get a weird error message it means your Wii is dead and needs to be replaced.

Uh, the nunchuck is everywhere:huh::huh: The wiimote was a tad harder to find... I went to two different stores before tracking it down.

Also, if you're having problems connecting to the internet (like I did) just change your router settings to channel 1 or 11. Solved the problem, and the updates are a-flowing.

I don't have a wireless router because those are for Nazi sympathizers. I'll pick up a eithernet cable instead.

Never gotten a dead system, but every console ships a few duds....it's hard to believe that Nintendo ships products sometimes that aren't invincible, but do remember how many people handle the things before they reach your hands.

If you dont have one, just call Nintendo and say that your Wii is broken. They will send you a replacement so you can send them the broken one. If they dont recieve a broken one they will charge your card for $250.

Pretty sure it's not supposed to stay on, it also flashes when someone sends you a mail/message. No problems with my Wii at all. Nintendo may be having some minor problems but it's a drop in the bucket compared to anything Sony has dealt with so far.

Looks like your little flame thread backfired.

My Wii's a horrid green colour and it has lumps in it. :(

um... that's not really what i was going for, and even if it was, 'backfired'? how do you figure? just because 7 out of the 8 people on this board with a wii haven't had any problems? hundreds of wii owners (if not more) have had serious issues with their systems not working, and i was just bringing that to everyone's attention, since no one was talking about it.

i was just trying to show that the ps3 isn't the only system that's launched with problems, and that nintendo systems are not infallible, as everyone seems to think, thanks to the media and people on these message boards; and i did that, so, no, my thread has not "backfired".

So that's why my Wii started glowing last night when I got a message...

This thread is a flame attempt. Just look at how you started it and what you just posted.
