Is there a remote for the Blu-Ray?

Nope. As a side note. Blu-ray disc's have a protective coating on them that makes them very hard to scratch.

As of now, the only PS3 on the market that does not play PS2 games is the 40gb. As long as you get the current 80gb bundle, then it will play PS2 titles.

Ah crap! I wanted to get JLA Heroes on PS2 to play on the PS3 but I guess I can't! The PS3 40 GB is only $400(ONLY?!?!?!) so I've got to settle and get this! On MUA, What Marvel character is an exclusive on there? Please say MK!

There is no exclusive character from M:UA for the PS3. I think the only exclusives were for like the PSP or something.

Didn't want to start a new thread. What's the latest info on the new PS3 model? Are they taking out more features? Are they going to using the hardware emotion engine or software emulation? I googled the rumoured new model and the info is a few months old.

the new PS3 model is nothing more than the current 40gb model replaced with a 80gb HDD

I know that in Europe, Sony have discontinued sales of the 80GB so 40GB and 20GB is the only option, unless you import... but then you have to buy region-free games OR import them... too much hassle for just playing old pS2 games... trust me, buy a few PS3 games with online features, and it will take a lot for you to get bored. Plus. 20GB doesn't have Wi-Fi

I have a few questions. Comparing the 60GB PS3 with the Metal Gear Solid 4 80GB bundle.
I know the emotion engine was replaced with the software emulation. Is there any other features taken out or watered down I should know of?
Also is there a downside of buying the Japanese 60 GB PS3?

No, I believe the only difference between the original 60GB PS3 and the 80gb bundle is that the latter has a more limited PS2 BC due to the removal of the EE.

Why would you want to buy a Japanese PS3? I doubt you would be able to find one. The downside to buying one is that all PS1/PS2 games are region locked which means that you would have to own Japanese games to play them which would defeat the purpose of getting this sytem for its BC. PS3 games however are region free
