does anyone care if the component cables are cut?


i have 7 sets of component cables in my closet, right now, from the various dvd players and gaming systems i've had over the years. and if you buy a ps3, odds are you've had a ps/ps2, and will have a spare set after you 'upgrade'

I'm not sure, but will the cables from the PS1 or PS2 work for the PS3? I know it's a habit of most game systems to have a unique plug on the other end of the video cables, so that you can't simply use an old system's cables.

I do know that the N64s cables will work for the Gamecube, and that the XBOX cables will not work for the XBOX360. Don't know what it's like for PSs.

Considering that theres the HDMI cable, the normal cable, a highdef cable (or did the axe that rumor a long time ago and I just don't remember) and a RF adapter, it's not that big of a deal if they only throw one or two in there. Epecially if the supporting cable is 20-30$. 20-30$ extra isn't going to make or break the sale of PS3.

I use my PS1 cables for my PS2 in my room, and my PS2 cables for my PS2 on my flatscreen in the theater. I'm gonna assume that the 'standard' cables will work for the PS3 as well.
