Pondering purchasing one of these this week, Mostly play on pc, don't like playing first person shooters, WRPG or RTS on a console, enjoyed Metal Gear Solid 4, don't own a HD-TV so the blue-ray player is kind of moot, looking for console type games that play diffrent from pc orinted games.

Get the PS3 much much better, PSP is only decent for when your on the move. The ps3 is an awesome home entertainment system that you will certainly enjoy. Plus things are looking up in 2009 exclusive wise so yahhhhhhh ps3 for the win.:yay:

PS3!

How can you compare the two besides the fact that they're both made by Sony? One's a portable gaming system that won't have as good graphics as the PS3. Plus the PSP's game library is limited.

Agreed on PS3. I have both, and it really depends on what you're in the mood for. However the PS3 has some awesome games, and I find the PSP a bit lacking in that area (tho it does have good games). You can of course DL some PS1 games from the playstation store as well for (playing Castlevania SoTN on a portible is awesome :) ), but they work on the PS3 as well.

The main problem is that I rarely use my PSP anymore. I do use it to listen to music, or occasionally game, but not as often anymore. I love that it can access my PS3 from the other side of the world...but I rarely travel. My PS3 I use almost on a daily basis (even if it's just for a few minutes).

Both are great, but in all honesty the PSP is only at it's best when used WITH a PS3. The PS3 is great by itself.
