Civil War Punisher Cameo?

They are still filming this right? With Bernrhal being cast (possibly Marvels best casting yet for me) is it possible he could cameo? Would love to see Cap beat the crap out of him like in the CW. Punisher wouldn't fight back because he loved Cap.

A little cameo would be great, even a quick scene of him trying to join Caps side and being rejected.

I don't think it would work without previous mention of him. I would like it, but I don't think it would work well, and that's IF they were able to. I think it is too late to plan it out and I don't think they would wait very long to try it if they already had it planned. It's possible, but I feel it is very unlikely. But hey, people are waiting for spiderman to be cast and shot, and he hasn't been cast or shot either.

In the same way I'm expecting a Daredevil reference in the form of Ross wishing to expand the scope of the new legislation and take down all known vigilantes, I'd be surprised if Punisher wasn't mentioned. Not expecting an appearance, though.

They've known they've had Spider-man since around Jan and even then that was late for a script addition. If they're not planning on having Daredevil I don't see why they'd have Punisher.

Eh nope. A reference yes or even an easter egg. We don't want them throwing in Punisher to set up his appearance in DD season 2.

there has been no inclusion of tv canon into the movie universe. i doubt daredevil or anyone else from netflix/shield will be acknowledged in the movie universe.

I'll eat my words if I'm wrong but I really think people are continuing to set themselves up for disappointment with this repeated insistence on appearances from the TV characters. After Age of Ultron I think it's pretty clear that Marvel is not terribly invested in these characters crossing over.

TV shows also require far less beforehand planning so I seriously doubt there were concrete plans for Punisher appearing in the MCU when this script was being written or outlined.

I think Punisher would be on everyone's list to be arrested. He hunts down and kills people. Whatever way you paint it he is a murderer.

Well, vigilantism is already illegal...

But capturing criminals and handing them into the authorities is not. He doesn't dispense justice. The only crime you could do him for is probably manslaughter and assault. Although there doen't seem to be many witnesses.

Probably not a good idea. Two characters with skulls/bones on them that wear mostly black. I think it's wise to keep all of the Netflix shows separate and in their tiny NYC bubble and away from the film universe till at least The Defenders.

Sad, but what can you do? Guess we can just enjoy the fact that we even have Daredevil and Punisher appearing at all in anything MCU related even if it's not Civil War.

Not likely. And if even if it was, Punisher seems like the last character to come from the shows to the screen just because the type of character he is and the violence that comes with him.

I don't see it happening realistically. Like others have said the movie already has a lot going on and there has yet to be any crossover from the tv side of things into the movies themselves. Though part of me would be interested to see him, especially given that there may have been obscure Punisher easter egss in The Winter Soldier, but I don't see them having time to fit him into anything substantial, even a five minute cameo.

If they were interested in carrying on the Punisher nods then I would suggest something like a blink and you miss it walk on part in the background. Much like this issue of Uncanny X-men where Punisher is seen walking past Cannonball and nothing more.

Punisher? No. I doubt any of the TV characters will show up in Civil War. Besides, Punisher isn't going to show up in the movies before he shows up on DD. The idea of Cap getting arrested at the end off Civil War and DD showing up at the end as his lawyer would be awesome.
