The Dead and Civil War

As a member of an ancient race who had very strong cultural mores regarding race and hereditary despite his differences in opinion with the other Kree he would still likely be somewhat conservative in his beliefs. He might not even regard him as being related but simply as a failed science experiment.

So he's gonna be okay with his kid being gay then?

Why not, some people can accept that kinda thing. If I was a father and my son or dauhter was gay I would accept them, but I'm not Mar-Vell. Plus he has a staight daughter (Phyla) and a staight son (Genis), to bad Genis is scattered all over god knows where.

It will be really wierd if this younger Mar-Vell hadn't met Hulklings Skrull mother yet.

So wait, did the Captain Marvel that just showed up in the Negative Zone contract the cancer already? 'Cause if that's the case, isn't he just going to end up dying anyway eventually, except that it would happen in the present?

Does anybody think that the Death of Genis might have something to do with Mar-Vell's return?

Either that or he will eventually return to the past and contract it, but then if thats the case he could prevent himself from getting it, which would create a time paradox, but if he already has Cancer since he knows about it he could still somehow beat the Cancer and that would also create a time paradox.

As I said, the clone theory is looking better and better to me. :woot:

Just because the time paradox thing is confusing doesn't mean it wont be used. He could possibly be a clone, but I really dont think so, cause then he will not eventually die from cancer, and like somebody said the whole dead man walking thing is kinda cool. Either way, I'm happy that Mar is back.

As a prequel to my earlier idea...

"Keep Pushing!" Iron-Man yelled. "I think It's time for our friends to lend a hand!" he called.

suddenly the ground underneath the Secret avengers gave way. "I do believe my ears are burning," Scott lang said as Avengers rained down upon him and his daughter, both of them at least fifty feet tall.

"Scott?" Cap called out in confusion.

Meanwhile across town in the underground bunker that housed the wounded and infirm from the Secret Avengers, Patriot and Hawkeye II were discussing their current sitiuation.

"This is crap!" she griped. "We should be out there in the thick of it. They took Billy, and we got left behind?"

"You know, I'd expect Speed to complain more than you," Patriot said blankly as he ran security checks.

"He just wants to stuff his face," she growled. "I say we should have gone. Teddy's there."

"Teddy," Eli said calmly. "Was key to the plot, not us. Plus someone had to keep an eye on the base."

"You just kiss the ass of anyone with Super Soldier Serum in your blood don't you?" she asked.

"Sounds like it," said a voice. Both whipped around to see two people who...

"You're both dead," Kate said blankly.

"Got over it," Mockingbird replied as she launched at Patriot.

Kate took aim at Hawkeye, but he was already on his way at her. he tackled her, but he didn't realize how big a mistake that was.

"NO ONE TOUCHES ME!" She yelled at him, in three moves she had him reeling.

Mockingbird had enough momentum to move the unexperienced supersoldier, knocking him off balance.

and in the skies over manhatten.

"Whatever happened to responsiblity?" called a disturbingly familiar voice. Peter turned in midair to see that they voice want who it couldn't possibly be.

Be-" he was unable to complete his sentance as he was slammed into feet first by a man in a blue and red version of his recently discarded Stark-designed costume.

"I'm sorry Pete," Ben Reilly said sadly. hitting him with one of the waldoes. then a punch before resuming his webline.

"Ben, how... what... Where..." Peter rambled.

"I'm sorry, Pete," Ben said sincerely, "But you can't be allowed to be a loose cannon anymore... God I wish this had happened months earlier... or later... I'm so sorry. I know all your moves, please don't make me hurt you."

"I've evolved since you've been gone," Peter said resolutely.

"It has begun," said a blonde doctor as he looked out the window from the infirmary on the Prison 42. Dr. Blake shook his head. "This will be most unpleasant."

Uncle Ben would be on the side of the group with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and a 401k.
