I think Push 2 could turn out to be quite a good movie that could battle with the summer crowds. This was a good start to a fresh new hero franchise.
The thing that worries me is that your actually serious. :wow:

HAHA so everyone who despises Heroes loves this movie
I don't like Heroes and I still hated the movie.

The early Friday numbers I saw say it won't get a sequel unless the movie has great WOM or was cheap in the first place.
Stop it your killing me. :whatever:

It was a good movie dude, I don't know what your problem was with it.

Words cannot begin to describe without getting too graphic the torture I had to endure for the 2 hours watching this piece of *****, in other words this movie was B-O-R-I-N-G.

The plot was nowhere interesting and it felt like a plainclothes version of X-Men with all the characters shoving each other or pushing themselves out of danger (yeah that must be why the dumb movie is called Push), and chinese people who are the bad guys screaming which gets annoying after a while.

Now I love big action movies but this had barely little action and the few it had were not as exciting as the stupid reviewers have pointed out, I was looking at my watch at least three times wondering when the movie was over because I was seriously thinking about walking out.

And even the audience at my theater were bored out of their minds since I didn't hear any reactions none at all, I myself chuckled a bit when that one screaming chinese guy got the bamboo pole rammed in his neck.

Chris Evans is good at times when given a better movie but this one isn't it, the same for Camilla Belle and Dakota Fanning.

my score is 1 out of 5 stars, avoid this at all costs.

P.S.: go see Taken instead a much better movie.
That right there showed me you didn't watch the movie or even tried to watch it:o

This movie had 4 action sequences...what did you expect Michael Bay to step in and announce it was time for explosions? This wasn't a big action movie. If it was, then it would be tossed in to the summer line up. This was a character film with action in it...not an action film with characters in it. If you love mindless action flicks then I can see why you reviews are so poignant and eloquently put together to summarize all the devices used to tell a cinematic story. Good review:whatever:

Dakota Fanning was also very surprising in her role for this movie and she did it well.

You were also the one to vote 1/10 which first off does not match your review. So, that means you childishly clicked 1 so that you could further your shallow points which shows your 'age level' on these boards. Good, solid review and I can see why you are the go-to guy when it comes to movie reviews:dry:

Just saw it with my bro and man was it worth the money I spent. I want a sequel, but like all original ideas in hollywood it will prolly die.

Push
Push has the look and feel of an independent feature, but longs to be an action film. Those going in looking for wall to wall action will be very dissapointed.
Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, , Djimon Hounsou, Nate Mooney do an ok job but
Camilla Belle looks like she's sleeping through her role. The story Push presents is interesting with heroes and villains labeled with titles watchers, sniffers and pushers. The action at the end of the film was fun but you have to get by ponderous moments in the film and giant plotholes to get there.
Wait for cable Scale of 1-10 a 5

I find it amusing that people constantly want something "new" and then dismiss it out of hand

I would agree if not for the fact that, in the wake of 'HEROES,' this wasn't "new" ...

Seems this movie is getting poor reviews, is it worth a watch or not?

I'd say it's worth renting/on demand/netflix...but it's not worth a movie ticket. But that's just me.

que?

it's an okay movie. Not great, not Horrid either. 3/5.

I thought it was ok. Fanning was good, Belle was rather wooden as usual and the relationship with Evans was underdeveloped. I really don't know why they were in love in the first place, they just...were. I thought it could've used either more action in the middle or some better characterization...or both.

Worth a view, but not especially memorable.

I think this film was original because I have yet to see a movie all about abilities that relate to the mind. The idead on how they were experimented on was cool, and the concpet was original. Sure Heroes has its similarities with Push but it most certainly isnt the same. I think this was an awesome, fun flick. I like Evans and this made me like him more.

Rotten Tomatoes is really laying into this film. i liked jumper so I'll def check it out this weekend(since a lot of people are comparing the 2 movies)

Hmmmm...#6 movie this week.

Paul Blart and Coraline beat out this one.

I might rent this movie sometime when I'm bored, but nothing about it interested me from the previews. Evans, Hundsou and Fanning are all talented actors, but their involvement isn't a guarantee that a film will be good (I've seen Cellular, The Island and War of the Worlds...ugh). Camilla Belle is hot but she doesn't have any acting ability, that I've seen.

But overall, the thing is, the Heroes and X-Men comparisons are valid... I don't care if doing something old in a good way can make a cool movie... I'd rather see something new done in a good way. Or, if you're going to do something old, then actually make a movie about the property that did it first instead of just copy some ideas and writing new characters.

This movie was pretty damn mediocre. The powers were cool, and so were a couple of the fight scenes. Other than that, the film was one big plot drag with plenty of holes. Seemed like a case of an interesting idea with poor execution.

Well I enjoyed the film I liked Nicks character the best, felt he was fun and the battle towards the end I loved.

I think the main thing with this movie was, who cares? they completely made up some characters with what seems like boring, unoriginal powers, and the previews made it just LOOK like a Heroes/Jumper knock-off, which killed it because nobody wants to see more of the same when they can watch it at home, and since these characters dont have any comic-book history or connection to anyones childhood, nobody cares about these made-up characters who can "push" stuff. If the public wants to see a superhero film, they're gonna see one about characters they are familiar with.

anywho, thats why i personally don't care to see this movie and I'm sure thats the same for most of the public.
