Quasar, Bill Rosemann and Cake

Does that moment include using the bands for something other than making a sword? I haven't been reading the series, but from what I've seen that's all she does. Speaking of not having seen the serries, I do need to catch up on the whole Annihilation story, the trades are out currently, right? I have been getting the new Nova series, and it's great, but I'm would like to see what went before.
Wendell used to make a lot of body armor and melee weapons, too. Phyla hasn't done much else with the bands, but I suspect that's partly because they're running out of juice and low-level constructs probably take less power than manipulating energy or anything impressive like that.
The cake is a lie.
Shhh!! GLaDOS is listening...

Quantum Nun-Chucks to Materson's face for the win.

Oh, Masterson. ;)

Yeah, Eric Masterson sucks. He was a disgrace to Thor's name. Thor himself beat his ass pretty soundly with his bare hands, even though Eric had the exact same powers as Thor.

Masterson wasn't that bad. I liked his camaraderie with Quasar.

He wasn't a bad character, really--I kind of liked him as Thunderstrike--but he was a pretty crappy Thor.

Hey Guys! Thanks for the interest in the Quasar Cake. I just found this site! It was just mentioned in the latest Wizard and yes it's true! I was one of the guys behind it!

We want Wendell Vaughn back as Quasar! Come join us at the QuantumZone forums- http://www.quantumzone.org/forum

or check out my site:

I like Wendell, but I thought his death was kind of cool. I'm not a big fan of Phylla. I wouldn't mind seeing him back but I agree with the other poster who said I think it may be to soon. And I for one liked the 80's series also

Well, for me personally, Wendell is one of my favorite heroes. The '89 series was great. Gruenwald really set up issues 1-25. They were fantastic.

I have a few problems with Wendell's "death". I don't think they really wrote it to be typical Wendell MO. I mean, he did't contact Epoch. And he went in guns a blazin'. Wendell never does that. Well, you could argue there wasn't enough time. What would it take to contact epoch? -- a couple seconds? Ehh.

My number one problem is the way the cosmic control rod effected the q-bands. Wouldn't the Protector of the whole gal darn Universe know that? Or his 6 billion year old mentor's offspring? Considering that Eon first contacted Captain Marvel in the negative zone when he was appointed I think Wendell/Epoch should be aware of the effects of the cosmic control rod/negative zone would have on his bands.

Anyway! While Annihilation was going on Andy Schmidt, editor at the time, was answering questions at CBR and low and behold a bunch of Quasar fans showed up. We got together and now want Wendell back.

I know Wendell may not be the most popular but you may be able to sympathize with our campaign if you are a Cap fan or Spidey fan. Heck, even a mutant fan.

Oh, yes, for those interested watch for Wendell in the Nova Annual to hit stands Feb 13th!

The cake was a great idea. I honestly never really gave Quasar a chance, but I did like him in Annihilation and the 2 issues of his old series that I did read (2 issues following Operation: Galactic Storm). I wouldn't mind seeing him back. Best of luck on your quest stingerman

I'd rather see Bill pop OUT of the cake. Now THAT's a visual...:woot:

Still, that cake looked tasty. Hopefully we'll get some tasty Q out of it.

Thanks! One of our Quantum Zone Forum members came up with the idea. There were articles on it

at CBR: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=12153

and

Marvel: http://marvel.com/blogs/Agent_M/entry/913

I've been a fan for a long time. He was awesome in the Nova mini. He's made an appearance in Phyla #4 and the upcoming Nova Annual. So that's two in 5 or 6 months. That's a good sign.

Dognabit, BRING BACK THE REAL QUASAR!!!!!!
