Coen Bros are even better at the one thing Tarantino excels at, dialogue. The Coens' list of memorable dialogue scenes is even longer than Tarantino's.

Absolute brilliance.

Hardest one of these yet. So many good films. Some of my all time faves. But... i think the Coens have been more prolific, yet consistent for a bit longer.

Although you can say Tarantino has had more influence, but i think a lot of that has to do with him being a bit more vocal and in the public eye. Whereas the Coens aren't in the media at all really.

Man this is tough. A world without The Big Lebowski isn't a world I want to live in, though, so I pick the Coens.

Coens. Easy pick just like Tarantino was an easy pick over Nolan. Hardest one was still Scorsese/Spielberg.

It was extremely tough, but I think I'm going to have to go with Tarantino. I love both filmmakers, but the only Coen Bros. movies that I love are Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski, and True Grit, whereas I love all of Tarantino's films except Jackie Brown (haven't seen Death Proof).

Yo ass better pay me copyright Napoleon.

In your dreams man. In your dreams :oldrazz: And besides, whatever happened to fair use?

Well, just like Quentin, you gotta take from the best.

Lawd.

Jackie Brown's the best QT movie for me

The Coens.

I love Tarantino, too, but I think the Coens have a more impressive resume of movies overall.

Sorry QT, but the Coen Bros. are sticking around.

Blood Simple.

Coens easily.

Though I do want to add onto the Jackie Brown love. It's not as entertaining as his others but I still think it's his best film overall.

I think the exact opposite, literally. Tarantino has been more consistent and produced better films imo.

Still love the coens though. No country is one of my favorite movies of all time.

And Jackie Brown is much different from his others but still pretty damn good.

Tarantino for me. It's a hard choice, but in some ways it's no choice at all. For me the new Tarantino is an event film.

I think my top 10 from both would be;

1. No Country for Old Men
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Fargo
4. The Big Lebowski
5. Raising Arizona
6. Jackie Brown
7. Inglourious Basterds
8. O Brother Where Art Thou
9. Django Unchained
10. Miller's Crossing

For me only Scorcese is a better director as of right now.

I will forever side with Tarantino in these things.

Jackie Brown was that good.

I went with Tarantino.

When looking at the lists of movies by both writer/directors, I consistently enjoyed more of Tarantino's work than the Coen Brothers'. While some of their work I found enjoyable (O Brother Where Art Thou, No Country For Old Men) others I found over rated (Fargo), and still others are just plain bad (Lady Killers).

But everything by QT that you listed I genuinely enjoyed. So he gets my vote.

The Coens

Tarantino is great too, but for me it just comes down to personal taste. And I've loved more of the Coen's work than Tarantino's.

This is definitely a tough one. I'm going Coen bros here only because No Country is my favorite movie between the 2 directors. Love many films from both directors...
