Question for people who are in to Targaryan history/lore

There's a theory going around that a lot of Targaryans that die under mysterious circumstances are actually being whacked by people who are followers of the Faith of the Seven. Apparently Targaryans have a blindspot in regards to this. Also they might have intentionally set in motion the Dance of The Dragons. I want to know what y'all think about this conspiracy theory? Is it a wild fan theory or is it probably true? I also heard that Maesters hated the dragons and magic too.
