Welcome To Earth (FAR TOO POLITICAL and started the show on a downward spiral for me this season and Lynda Carter's voice is not what it once was.)

As for the Invasion crossovers...Flash and Legends were pure fun.

The Flash musical crossover was light, musical and fun with Melissa and Grant's chemistry never even leaving. And some of the musical numbers were good, especially the witty, funny toe tapper "Super Friend."

The rest can take a walk off a bridge for all I care these are the only 3 episodes I will be revisiting. Also I'm not including those amazing crossover episodes with The Flash, Arrow and Legends here because they weren't Supergirl episodes.

Supergirl’s Super 7

First honorable mentions

Ace Reporter…While I had major doubts about how UNBALANCED this episode would be in terms of the media, it rather surprised me as it became more of an adventure rather than an attack on alternative media

Duet…this was a FLASH episode technically, but it served its purpose as a fun musical romp with loads of talented singers and some dancing and a very witty song in Rachel Bloom’s Super Friend. It was light, musical and fun with Melissa and Grant's chemistry never even leaving. And at least it didn’t venture into “Super Glee.”

And now to THE SUPER 7

7…Neverhtless She Persisted…despite its political sounding title, very little of politics with exception of feminist propaganda by Cat Grant, it turned into a mass adventure with two fights, including the super cousins taking on each other thanks to silver kryptonite. This also had quite the sad ending as Mon-El was forced to leave Earth after Supergirl had no choice but to explode the lead bomb. Also, it featured the sassy, sexy and fun Wonder Woman tie-in.

6…Alex. This emotional episode had Alex kidnapped by one of the sickest villains this year, a stalker who happened to be RICK MALVERNE. But at least this episode had as its focal point the relationship between Kara and Alex, even though Maggie rode shotgun and it became more about HOW to do things.

5…Survivors…this introduced my favorite villain this season, the sexy but dangerous Roulette (actress Dichen Lachman, who gave love on social media to the fans…RESPECT!). And also introduced as to Miss Martian (Sharon Leal). But as to the story about this alien fight club, I gave the writers credit for showing how the power elites are distracting us from the major problems of the world with their fake wars and such. And Supergirl, I always knew there was a super patriot within her delivering her speech after Roulette was taken in, only to be released.

4…Mr. and Mrs. Mxyzptlk…a wild crazy, comic book come to life with the introduction to a rather handsome version of the zany imp which featured some LOL moments including Super Mxy…and sending Mon-El to the DEO in just his underwear. I had so much fun despite the Valentine’s Day subplot.

3…Supergirl Lives…this was Kevin Smith’s first go round on Supergirl and CAME THROUGH. It was written to be like another comic book come to life. My favorite scene from this, just as Kara is turning into Supergirl and leaving Mon-El behind for Slaver’s Moon, she throws her articles at him and he comically catches them. You know given the silliness that can come on set, this scene may be ripe for a blooper reel, if the season 2 DVD has one planned.

2…The Last Children of Krypton…this basically continued all the fun of my number one pick of the season, while not as good as number one, it continued all the fun of it.

1. The Adventures of Supergirl…if you are gonna start a season, why not with a SUPER bang. Tyler Hoechlin brings back the Superman of my youth, with as much Christopher Reeve as possible. At the first commercial I was smiling from ear to ear…AND IT NEVER LEFT! Melissa and Tyler’s chemistry…LOADS OF SILVER AGE FUN. Line of the night... “I helped him change his diapers”…OH KARA!

Despite this Super 7, the season took a major nosedive with Welcome to Earth, with its hyper-partisan and progressive New World Order open borders undertones. Sadly this was also where TV’s Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, was at her weakest as the President of the US, who it turns out IS AN ALIEN HERSELF. And also they had a throwaway villain in Scorcher to try and distract from the undertones…and FAILED to do so. Is it any wonder why that waste of bandwith, Buzzfeed wrote about how PROGRESSIVE the show has become. Well that site may be facing some trouble of its own.

But let me issue a warning for season three, ANY MORE OF THIS REGRESSIVE PROGRESSIVE STUFF REGARDLESS OF ANYTHING ELSE INCLUDING RELATIONSHIPS, EASTER EGGS, GEEK OUTS AND FOOD FREAKOUTS, AND I AM DONE! AND I MEAN IT! This show is sort of treading on thin ice. I gave season 2 a C+ as the finale was good enough to save it from a C-. This is still a downgrade from season 1's B+. The show still ranks as a "B."

Not much time left between now and July 5 when filming starts again, so it's SHAPE UP OR SHIP OUT!
