OK, have't seen this in a while. But first, let's lay some ground rules because these threads can get out of control. Theatrical films only, but they can be from ANY era. So if you want to include Adam West's Batman, Mask of the Phantasm, Howard the Duck or History of Violence....feel free. But it must have been a theatrical release. So nothing like Ultimate Avengers, Incredible Hulk TV Pilot or Man-Thing (if you were going to suggest Man-Thing, I feel sorry for you).

And this is your FAVORITE TOP 10 only....otherwise people's list would go on forever.

So I'll kick mine off in order from last to first

I love this guy. That's a good top ten. It shows a comprehensive look at all movies of the genre, not just the latest Marvel and DC blockbusters; appreciates the greater quality of the first X-Men movie over it's sequels; and even the Hulk TV pilot is rightly recognised as superior to the later two CGI fests.

I like your inclusion of Blade II, and choosing Watchmen as your number one. Watchmen takes a few views to understand how it works (i.e. not action-driven), but it's quite something once you get there.

This thread was for theatrical releases only and was not to include TV shows or Directors cuts, but I do agree with El Payaso on many things, including his appreciation of TIH TV Pilot.

Well, a movie is a movie....I think it would be unfair not to allow, say, the Daredevil director's cut, when that is really the proper, full version of that movie, and far superior to the chopped-down theatrical release.

The Dark Knight
Batman Begins
Iron Man
Sin City
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Superman: The Movie
Punisher: War Zone
X-Men
X-Men 2

Spider-Man 2

Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut
Kick-Ass
The Dark Knight
The Hulk
X-2
Batman Begins
X-Men
Blade II
Hellboy
Batman Returns

We'll see how things change when Thor, Green Lantern and Captain America come out.

Call me jealous!
I think I remember hearing that they were released theatrically over seas. Where in the world did you grow up?

'it was at this point a harmless little thread on favourite ten movies became a nightmare for one man...little did he know he would be tracked downn and forced to watch all 10 movies with his new 'best friend'...critics say...'noah's ark meets the cable-guy'...'a daring new tight thriller about an obsession with tights'...'you'll never want to list your fav ten movies ever again'...released next summer...'Top Ten Favourite ways to die!'

:hehe:

they also released 3 nicholas hammond spider-man 'movies' as well, one was double billed with sinbad and the eye of the tiger. it was great seeing those as well, t did feel like going to see a genuine spidey film at that age although you did notice there was *something* different from those Superman movies.
