It was cool, I definitely caught a couple Adam McKay-isms.

Thanks for splitting it into .5 increments.

I give it an 8.5/10. It's very good. About on par with my favorite GotG trailer from last year and loads better than that teaser we got 3 months ago.

9 for me. Liked it more on repeated viewings. The Marvel logo shrinking with the ants surrounding it was cool. Dug the music editing as well with Antman flipping onto the barrel of the gun meshed with the beat.

I'm still at a big meh.

I've heard people say that it's hilarious, but I didn't even come close to laughing.

Story-wise, it looks like a remake of Iron Man, but smaller. I've seen Iron Man.

The fact that everything about this gives off the impression that it was a movie Marvel would love to cancel except that they were so deep into making it that they just figured they'd get it over with and forget it doesn't help at all.

I'm going to see it anyway...but my greatest hope for it is that it will be a fairly decent speedbump on the way to Civil War, and that Ant Man or story elements from Pym may show up later. I'm not going in thinking that this movie is actually going to be good.

Looks like good fun. Didn't blow me away but caught my attention - 7.5.

You more or less just nailed my thoughts. Except I might not see it in theaters.

Tons better than the first trailer.

Look,I'm still ticked at Old Man Pym (****,did they even give him a hearing aid?!?), but trying to divorce my mind from "what might have been",this looks like it could be a lot of fun. If GOTG entertained me,when I could give a crap about it before seeing it,I'm sure Ant Man will be no less satisfactory.

The trailer certainly is family friendly. My friends' wives and kids loved it.

A lot of good money shots! A major improvement from the last one. Its an 8!

I sorta loved it to death.

The family movie vibe doesn't bother me in the slightest and something about the tone of trailer reminded me of classic family adventure films like Goonies, Explorers, Honey I Shrunk the Kids (I wonder why...) and even ET. I couldn't tell you why, the style of the film looks nothing like these films but it gave me this weird, nebulous blast of nostalgia.

The visuals look amazing, the action creative as heck and the cast looks on point. This may be a "safe" MCU film, but it could be one of the most fun.

The trailer had me right up to the end title , and then the toy train took me right out of it

I think the only way that scene will work for me , is it follows some real intense scene , and then zoom out to the toy train scene , for like a second , then zoom right back into some more intense scenes

Which , it does look like it will

That shot is what sold me on the film the most, lol.

I get where you're coming from, but I don't feel that's out of line of what the MCU offers with it's films. I think it's kinda genius. In what other context can a childrens toy be dangerous? Not many. You and I can't be damaged by a toy train outside of a stubbed toe. But if Yellowjacket gets the better of Ant-Man with one before he can go big, than bye-bye Ant-Man.

Wasn't the whole point that it couldn't hurt him? Hence it toppling over? lol

I have a feeling that shot was more for comedic effect than how it actually plays out in the film. I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I get.

It just that that scene looked so out of place in the trailer

They go to blurry shaky cam , to something out of Sesame Street , then right back to blurry shaky cam

I'll just have to wait and see it in it's actual context

But it was like going 90 MPH on a Roller Coaster , and then slamming on the brakes , and everyone looks at each other and goes , WTF was that

Even for those who may not want to see this in theaters, the curiosity factor still lingers: Paul Rudd..as a superhero. A part of the MCU. It's crazy and awesome, and I want to support that.

For me it was that contrast of such an intense scene punctuated by the humor that I loved. Kinda reminds me of an episode of GoT of all things from season 3 where a character gets his hand chopped off right at the precise end of the episode and then they immediately cut to a funny song to run over the credits. It was jarring but in the best possible way. Same here. But there were a lot of people who complained about that(and a lot like me who loved it) so I can understand that such a thing can be not for everyone. But as someone who's on board, I loved it...best part of the trailer, IMO.

Definitely a 9/10. Loved it! Its Ant-Man come to life. :D

Pros: I love the humor so far. Loving the chemistry between Douglas and Rudd. The Ant-Man powers seem spot on, like a comic come to life. They nailed that and the effects are looking good. Yellowjacket's costume is awesome.

Cons: The actor playing Daren Cross/Yellowjacket seems kind of overly hammy in the role. Even in parts where he shouldn't be hammy (like that speech to the investors he gives at the beginning of the trailer). And I can see why people are saying the corporate espionage with superpowered suits angle feels very Iron Man-ish. It kind of does.

I'm gonna give it an 8.
