Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

Okay never mind...looks like this might be a cameo type of thing considering the phrase

"Cyborg, while not a major part in the Batman-Superman feature, is a member of the Justice League and will become a much more significant role as Warner and D.C. develop more films related to the Justice League universe, sources confirm."

Sounds like we're not getting Cyborg's origins, which is why I was worried to begin with.

If WB stopped lying and admitted the production is Justice League, I would have no problem. Claiming a production is going to focus on two heroes, and then shoving a section of a pantheon into it undercuts the structure of the project. They have repeated it is not a team based film; they have emphasized only Bats and Supes in the interviews. They need to be honest and admit the focus is not as narrow as they claimed. It's like Marvel doing a teamup film with Cap and Iron Man for the first time, then shoving in Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch, all the while claiming the film is focused on Iron Man and Cap, when it does not.

Really? Do you think for a second that WB would undersell a Justice League movie? If it was a Justice League movie, they'd be pimping it out like crazy, not hiding the fact. It's a Superman movie, with Batman and Wonder Woman in it.

They are not lying lol. It's kinda silly to question that.

To me this is confirmation that Martian Manhunter will not be a JL Member, probably not even featured. I know he's not popular, but I'm really disappointed by today's news. I hate Cyborg. He belongs on the Teen Titans. The first incarnation of the Justice League on the big screen should be the classic lineup, IMO.

Just because Cyborg replaced MM in the comics doesn't mean it will happen in the movies

Ray Fisher? Never heard of him! Interesting that they went so low-budget on this one. I'm calling it now, he'll debut as Victor Stone on the Flash and Arrow series! They've mentioned S.T.A.R Labs a bunch of times! That's why they didn't get a movie actor!

The part that bothers me is that Cyborg's inclusion implies that, like GL, they're only going to borrow from Geoff Johns' work instead of borrowing from multiple comics.

Oh, and this movie seems like it might be the DC version of Iron Man 2.

It does make sense, although I didn't remember Cavill talking about Cyborg at first. I think he also mentioned he was interested in a Supes/Bats movie. He drops sneaky hints, lol.

It makes sense though. Either MM or Aquaman won't make the cut imo. Which sucks. Because J'onn is awesome.

Was there ever a similar statement made about Wonder Woman? I'm curious to the role she has and screen time.

On the cameo front. Could be a Lex experiment, meant to stop Superman.

Awesome! :awesome::up:

No but from the amount of training she is doing...not just working out by sword training and fight training I don't think she's a cameo...I believe she'll be a supporting character

this makes me so happy. cinematic Justice League coming together, piece by piece. brings me so much happiness, this is a dream come true

Finally some news. Good casting. Let's see where this goes.

Tell me right now what Cyborg's role is, how long he is in the movie, and how his involvement takes away from the core of the story. I want only facts.

I'll wait.

Tell me how the how the focus can remain solely on Bats/Supes when there are 2-3 other A-list heroes who are in the film...who are going to be primary characters in the next film.

It can also be their new Dark Knight or Winter Solider.

Just saw this. Awesome. I knew they'd be going for the new 52 Justice league. I like the choice :)

Why does it make sense?
Because when we start cutting JL characters we have to be realistic.

Superman, confirmed.
Batman, confirmed.
Diana, confirmed.
Flash, not going to be cut.
Green Lantern, not going to be cut.
Cyborg, cast.

That leaves one potential slot open, unless they go with 6. Aquaman I would say is likely, but his status as "lame" by some could effect that. Then you have to think. Another female member? Hawkgirl? Possibly. J'onn? Well I'd say he is the odd one out sadly.

Umm... Cyborg is B-list, at best. If (prior to Marvel's films), Iron Man, Thor and Cap were considered B-list, then Cyborg is DEFINITELY not A-list.
