Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

I don't mean disrespect to Cyborg fans, but am I the only one that doesn't want him anywhere near the Justice League movie? I mean...I just think you stick with the classic team and build that up first. I'm not a fan of him potentially taking Martian Manhunter's spot, and possible screentime away from someone like Aquaman. I dunno...I just don't think the character is fit to walk the walk with the big guns. Teen Titans is fine.....

That's understandable since it's a recent change to incorporate him into JL, but all indications seem to point that Cyborg is here to stay.

I think the concept behind Cyborg is really strong and his role in the league has huge potential. I also like MM being in charge of a different team.

Cyborg's elevation to the Justice League was one of a bare few changes made in the New 52 that I thought was okay.

Just realized Cyborg also made it to this team way earlier.

Cyborg has already been given a push by DC in the comicbooks. Cyborg is now a founding member of the league, four years and counting. Besides, Cyborg is already popular with younger viewers thanks to the success of Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go.

I don't mind it. Plus Jonn is likely to show up in Part II.

Cyborg's getting his own solo run. If it's good, he'll be elevated even more.

Oh, and Fisher posted this on his twitter: https://***********/Sir_Ray_Fisher/status/568962520951730176

No offense, but the only reason MM was ever on the League in the first place was because he was one of the few DC characters around when the team was created in the 60's. Frankly, I don't think MM is as integral as people would like to believe. As long as a roster of the JL has Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman/Green Lantern/The Flash, its all good.

I'm excited about Cyborg's solo comic. Ivan Reis is on it so DC wants it to succeed.

You left out Aquaman, who is also a founding member of the original incarnation of the team. Also, there were plenty of other DC characters at the time. Adam Strange, Green Arrow, Black Canary, The Spectre, Phantom Stranger etc.

The various incarnations of the Super Friends show(s) were my introductions to characters like Cyborg and Firestorm.

I didn't leave him out by accident.

I misspoke. It wasn't that MM was one of the few characters around, it was that at the time, he was one of the characters who were consistently being published at the time DC made the League.

I know he's selling his movie, but it's nice to hear those comments.

I believe there may be a bit of honesty to his statement. There are two types of celebrity responses to a project they are working on: the first is very political

e.g. "Well, I believe there there is a vision that we are striving for, and Gerald, our director, has really done a lot to see that come through and I just hope that audiences will get to enjoy that vision as much as we did making it come to life"

The second is fanboy/fangirl level excitement

e.g. "This movie...this movie is going to rock your face. Seriously, it is so awesome. I haven't even seen the final cut yet, but the script is amazing and my scenes have been amazing."

I tend to trust the latter.

We most are, buddy... :highfive:

Hope the movie ends being good :)

Jesus, those outfits. I can imagine a conversation going on like this:

Wonder Woman (to Robin): What is wrong with you boy? Even I don't show that much leg as you do.

Robin: You would, if they were as good-looking as mine.

Cyborg: You two know nothing! You have to strategically show the most important parts and leave them wanting more.

Cyborg's classic costume has always been inexplicable to me. He looked like Surgical-Escape Man.

It's odd how much shorter Superman's cape is at the back.

Indeed. I didn't notice this before, now I find it jarring.

Not as jarring as Cyborg's crotch, but still.
