Superman Returns Re: The Offical Jason Appreciation Thread

yeah, sorry for the posting, new to the forums, but it has been stated, that superman does have hypnosis which he uses to subliminaly prevent the people from finding out, also the ability to shrink his spine to make him a little shorter as clark kent, but either way, this is very confusing, but all those depend on which superman the movies were based on, which is i think the modern day superman? haha

How is it that not everyone knows that Supes 2 didn't happen, except the sex, which I doubt was in the FOS? The kiss, the depowering, throwing of an S-shield, levitation, Zod and co, didn't happen prior to SR. Supes never told Lois the truth, he didn't give up his powers, he didn't throw his crest, he didn't mulitply himself, he didn't teleport, he didn't kill Zod, he can have sex w/ a human w/out killing her, he did leave earth in a crystal spaceship, the actress who plays Lois is younger than her role in SR, same as Brandon Routh, yes Richard is from X-men, Bryan Singer directed X-men 1&2. Stop asking stupid questions.

In a good way...I mean if people would STOP trying to count Superman II...LESTER'S Superman II of all things, as continuity, a lot of the people on these boards wouldn't be b*tching as much as they are now.

They come in here, and say "Well what about the kiss, and the depowering, and the dna thing." I'm surprised any of them geniuses didn't say "Well, in Smallville, Lex is a vessel for Zod, and his dad is a vessel for Jor-El," and all of that. Seriously people. Do any of those crystals from the movie able to create a brain, some of them need it.

When I'm wrong...I'm wrong.

I was against the kid at first, but he turned in the best damn performance in the movie. His facial expressions were quite simply hillarious.

I still don't like the entire story line, but in practically any other movie...Jason would've been gold.

like what? Baby Geniuses 3?

I was talking about the actor, not the character. I'd like to see him in something else.

Agreed. This movie was pretty sucky I thought, but Tristan blew me away. He has great potential.

I hope to see more from him in the future. He should play a young jesus in Jesus begins.

He has really good comedic timing for someone so young. I can't wait to see what his future holds.

I agree...can head was one of the funniest parts of the movie.

I can't help but think he looks like a long lost Culkin brother.

maybe they'll make another one of those Brady Bunch movies and he can play cousin Oliver....or or maybe they can do a Different Strokes movie and he can play Sam.... ;)

"what you talkin about Willis?"

Matt, what is your avi? Is it a scene from Dracula 2000? That kid may be the next Culkin. As long as he doesn't do 5 or 6 mvies, disappear 4 6 years, come back getting married at 17, divorce not too long after, and then be in a gay movie. I don't mean gay as dumb or stupid, well, you know what I mean. Maybe the kid will be in Sky High 2? Or 10 years down the road Singer will have some good movie, and he'll be in it(he did it for James Marsden and Kevin Spacey) By the way, does anyone know if Singer has any good relationships with the rest of the Usual Suspects cast? I love the kids piano scene. Priceless.

ok so this thread is the reason my thread got deleted but anyways...

some questions...according to the DC Comics

wasn't the son of Superman named Jon?

and wasn't there something called Supersons where you had the son of Batman and Superman join forces with Lex Luthor and organized a group called Supermen?

From reading all of this I can see that this is nothing but another convoluted pile of **** that Singer tried to foist on us. The entire premise is well SII never happened but oh yeah Lois got boinked but you know Zod and his crew never came here but yeah superman still went human for a minute, at least long enough to boink but yeah we only wanna talk about like 5 minutes of the movie... Singer needs to lay off the dope.

Ok in the elseworld story Lois & Clark/Superman do have a son and his name is Jon Kent.

As for your other question that superboy is not Clark's son it's a clone of him & luthor. named Conner Kent/Kon-EL/Superboy .

I hope that helps .

There was another story where Supes and Lois have a son, and his name is Adam. Also in that story, every male except Supes and Lex(of course) gets wiped out. Supes doesn't have the disease, but is a crrier and must live on the moon or something. He donates his fluids and women start to become pregnant again. He is finally able to come back to Earth, and Lex has also stolen hundreds of superbabies, so he can control the world. All ends well, and the next humans born will be part kryptonian. Thats actually what it says at the end. Sounds cool, but I feel bad 4 Batman, Flash, Aquaman, etc. I think Martian Manhunter would have survived, and possibly Green Lantern. It all depends. Oh, and I know recognize that scene. Duh.
