If Game of Thrones were a movie(s) I could definitely see Russell Crowe as Ned Stark, Henry Cavill as Robb, and Famke Janssen as Melisandre. Mark Strong could be Stannis or Roose Bolton.

Miranda Richardson could maybe be Catelyn.

Judi Dench could definitely be Olenna Tyrell. Or Maggie Smith for that matter. Or Helen Mirren. I think Dench or Smith would be the most fun though. I can totally see Dench with Olenna's lines.

Bill Nighy could be Walder Frey. Or maybe even Tywin Lannister. Bernard Hill could be Davos the Onion King since Liam Cunningham and he look similar anyway. David Thewlis could probably be Davos too.

Nicholas Hoult could be Gendry or somebody.

Tom Felton is probably still young-looking enough for Joffrey.

With Frank, I think you gotta go with Henry Fonda type stunt casting and have someone who is known for their nice guy image play a complete monster. The cast I posted in the first page had George Clooney as Frank, but I think Tom Hanks might be even better.

I know I'm a little late but regarding the Game Of Thrones film cast, while I think Russell Crowe would be amazing, I think the ideal choice is Viggo Mortensen. If not him, Liam Neeson.
I love the idea of Christoph Waltz as Littlefinger.
Jeremy Irons as Tywin Lannister. Cate Blanchett and Guy Pearce as Cersei & Jaime. Ray Stevenson as the Hound? Tom Hiddleston as Viserys and Gemma Arterton as Daenerys.
