I just need something new to vent to right now, y'know. I'm open to rock songs in any language btw.

Some of my favorites include--

High and Mighty Color
Linkin Park
Breaking Benjamin
Avenged Sevenfold

to give you an idea of what I listen to.

Only one I've heard of is Linkin Park, but never really listen to them. Since you're looking for more recent stuff, Dropkick Murphy's is a band I've been getting into lately, kind of Irish folk lyrics with a punk/hard rock sound.

Oh lord man, I can't listen to them. What's up with all those bag pipes?

Good new-ish rock out songs...

White Stripes or The Raconteurs

If you want some specific songs...Expecting, Seven Nation Army, Ball and Biscuit, Black Math, Icky Thump, (Stripes) Store Bought Bones, Consoler of the Lonely, Salute Your Salution, Hold Up. (Raconteurs)

Listen to
-Nightwish
-All That Remains
-Drop Kick Murphys
-Killswitch Engage
-Dragon Force

ANYTHING Converge/Hatebreed/Throwdown.

Tragedy of Empty Streets - Bleeding Through
Return to Sender - Bleeding Through

It's all I've been listening to at the mo.

"Speaking In Tongues" by the Eagles of Death Metal

You could even try "Ain't Nothing Wrong With That" by Robert Randolph, but it only works if you turn it up all the way..and you have to ride the cheez wave and tame it, like guiding a canoe through rapids.

hmmm, based on what you've got I'd recommend:

Slipknot (they actually have some varing sounds)
Saliva (this would compliment any of your bands)
Shinedown (almost an old fashioned belting it out type group, the first album was outstanding)
The Reverend Horton Heat (just try listening to "gringos like to party" without singing along)

And if you're into punk you can't go wrong with

Social Distortion (you can't go wrong with the D)
Rancid (and out comes the wolves, is such a great album)

Springbok Nude Girls
Just Jinjer

Some good rock that doesnt sound exactly like dverything else on the internet:

~Mastadon
~ Exodus
~ Iced Earth
~ In Flames

Some of my favorite bands:
~Lagwagon
~ NoFX
~ Thrice
~ Thursday
~ The Mars Volta
~ Against Me!
~ Baroness
~ Evergreen Terrace
~ Denali
~ Hot Water Music
~ Most Precious Blood

Unfortunatly, from the bands you said you like, you probably would like:

~ Finger Eleven
~ System of a down
or some other generic "Rock" band.

You lose points for liking NoFX...but get those points back for liking The Mars Volta.:woot:

girls against boys
the jesus lizard
quicksand
faith no more
helmet
pop will eat itself

Aw come on, NoFX before The War On Errorism is awesome. The Decline, Punk In Drublic, White Trash, and Ribbed are amazing. Plus, they are good really good live.

I think Audioslave/Chris Cornell is pretty good..

Ministry
Gravity Kills
Stabbing Westward
Danzig
Prong
Early Soundgarden (all is good but the early stuff is heavier)
Pantera

I don't like hard rock but I've listened to some Breaking Benjamin. 2 particular songs I like by them are "Breathe" and "Diary of Jane". They remind me of Godsmack for some reason. Maybe they would have some "venting" songs you'd like.

The Rapture
New Order
Klaxons
Young Love
Suede
Stereophonics
Magyar Posse
Explosion In The Sky
Ladytron
Soulwax
Zoot Woman

try listening to one of them.

try some Wolfmother, i've been listening to them lately and i like it.
