RESCUE ME: Season 5 - 22 consecutive weeks

Another solid episode, two opening episodes that are on this level makes me think this will be a brilliant season. As Eklypze said, the opening scene was absolutely hilarious, I almost died laughing. Michael J. Fox is an excellent supporting actor with great comedic timing, definitely happy about his involvement. Last season it felt like they had dropped the humor slightly and it became very dark, and I remember the season before it becoming almost too funny to maintain the drama but these two episodes have had a perfect mix of drama and humor. Waiting a week for the next episode is too much :(

This is still the best show on tv, these 2 episodes more than made up for the dissapointment of last season.

i saw the cripple thing the first episode.

i was expecting the guys' bar to attract only "certain" men but their twist was much better.

and damn, michael j fox is getting bad :(

Haha ... Sean failing to play Franco, who gets the younger back doctor.

I loved the black bar :lmao: and the massage therapy. I like that Tommy was kicked out and how they did it, since the character he was living with wasn't really doing anything or add anything to the show.

I've fallen behind on this show. And I enjoyed it alot. Would it make any sense if I can start at Season 5? Last I remember I was halfway through Season 2. So I haven't seen Tommy's sons death yet.

The nickname "Black Sean" still tickles me.

Great episode. I'm real interested to see where this Jimmy storyline goes.

I really love this season so far. Everything has been great. Not a single complaint.

Is white Sean gona get some kind of illness? With his back pain, and now his performance issues?

Full spoiler for your question...
Sean goes into hospital at some point (i believe it's some form of cancer, not certain) and whilst there the actor who plays him will have a chance to show off his singing talents as there are a few dream sequences involving musical-numbers. Heard it's pretty twisted/funny. There is a scan from TV Guide i believe, that shows him in hospital and a choir of angels, but I can't find the scan

Loving this season. Very interesting in seeing where the Jimmy storyline goes, and interested in seeing Jimmy's son become involved. [BLACKOUT]I heard he becomes the new Probie in Tommy's unit.[/BLACKOUT]

They need to get back to following all the characters and what they do in everyday life. That's what made the show special IMO. Tommy seems to get all the attention now, which in some cases he should since he's the lead role. The others firefighters seem to get overshadowed.

This is exactly what tonight's episode did. You're getting to see what the firefighters are doing away from their job. Sean dealing with cancer, Black Sean and Tommy's daughter, Franco and the 9/11 conspiarcy, Mikey with the bar and Lou trying to get with the French Woman. Just an all around great episode. I certainly have been impressed with this season.

I really liked tonight's ep. I felt bad when Sean got the news about [BLACKOUT][BLACKOUT]his cancer[/BLACKOUT][/BLACKOUT] and the way he reacted to it...poor guy. Sheila's monologue at the end was great and the scene with black Sean & Colleen...hahaha. That was funny. Oh, & when Dwight told Tommy about how long he lasts with Janet when they're having sex, lmao. That was funny. :o

Not a single complaint from this episode. Rescue Me is back and better than ever. I have LOVED this season thus far, right up there with one of their best.

the preview for next weeks sounds even more interesting with Franco and the whole 9/11 conspiracy coming to the climax.

Yea this show is back in full force and we have what like 17 or 18 eps left ?!?!?! FN BOSS!! And yea the stories are so much better they are really putting some of the characters in great situations and they are interacting in new and intriguing ways. And yea after watching Walter on Fringe cry his eyes out tonite (which was an emmy worthy scene) and now Sean getting cancer and breaking down in the middle of the hospital my heartstrings have been thoroughly tugged on tonite.

Oh and Michael J Fox really really really needs to be on this show for a long time I really hope hes up to it cuz him and black Sean are the best additions since the beginning. And bring back Marissa Tomei!!!!!

That's what gets me. 22 Episodes! Talk about a chance to flesh out every character and advance story plot. You can sort of see a fight with Tommy and Lou building to some point later in the season. I get a weird feeling that a character will die suddenly, not sure who though. I hope they can keep it up because the season has been fantastic thus far. This has the potential to be by far their best season ever.

If a main character dies man I dunno I wouldnt know where to begin but yea I forgot to say sumthin about Tommy and Lous impending smackdown I heard about it on tv guide channel or e! or some show I dunno but yea its supposed to happen pretty soon too

I actually thought that bomb in the beginning of the episode was real. Then after awhile I realized that Tommy was dreaming.

I'm so glad Tommy switched the pills and didn't take one.

Yea at first i totally thought he was stealing some

Probably the best episode this season. Mickey scaring Tommy in the beginning gave me a chuckle. I'm still wondering where this Jimmy Keefe story is going to go. They have a lot of interesting plots this season.
