Revenge

Next season, ABC's Revenge is expected to introduce a bunch of new characters, including Conrad's ex-wife and kids, Victoria's mother, people from Emily's, Amanda's and Nolan's pasts, and a new puppy to take the place of dearly departed Sammy. But the most highly anticipated addition is Emily's presumed-dead mother. While executive producer Mike Kelley says he's not sure how early into Season 2 he'll bring in the missing mom, he will reveal, "There will be a hunt for her, and she won't be easy to find. She's been gone, deliberately, for a very long time. Emily is one messed-up girl, and she's going to find out the apple didn't fall far from the tree." I asked Kelley to weigh in on three of my casting suggestions:

Elizabeth Mitchell: "That's a great idea. This is a psychologically damaged and a highly volatile woman, so anybody who has that ability to turn and scare you would be great."

Heather Locklear: "She's somebody who's sweet but she plays evil and cold so well. Great suggestion!"

Marg Helgenberger: "I love that idea — a lot! That's somebody who could kill it. There is something maternal there but very calculating, and she's able to go to some very dark places. If she injected a little crazy into that, she'd be able to knock it out of the park!"

Please, not Heather Locklear. As much as I like her, she feels like she belongs in a different show. I don't really want her coming on board for this. It would be like Melrose Place or Spin City (not to mention Dynasty and TJ Hooker). Most of the Revenge cast haven't shown up on every other soap before. I think she would cast too big a shadow over Revenge.

Not too keen on Marg either, since she's been too prominent on CSI.

Get someone fresher for the role.

Much to the dismay of Jack/Emily shippers, it appears as though Revenge's Margarita Levieva will be sticking around the Hamptons for a while.

Levieva, who plays the real Emily Thorne and the fake Amanda Clarke (confusing, we know), is slated to appear in at least seven of the first 14 episodes of the show's second season, Deadline reports.

While this is great news for Levieva, her return to the ABC series is bad news for her character's former friend, the real Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp).

Right when it looked like Jack (Nick Wechsler) and the real Amanda/fake Emily were finally going to get together, Revenge's season one finale concluded with Fauxmanda dropping the bomb of the season: She's pregnant with Jack's baby!

We'll have to wait until Revenge returns next fall to find out what's in store for the troubled love triangle.

So, apparently Conrad's son from his first marriage will factor into the new season. Did they mention that he had children from another marriage and I just missed it, or is this brand new info?

I don't remember anything about it. Don't know why they would be left out of his company.

Emily Thorne is in for a blast from the past in Revenge‘s second season — and not only in the form of her MIA mom.

TVLine has learned exclusively that British actor Barry Sloane has been tapped to recur on the ABC sudser, which will air in its new time slot on Sundays at 9/8c.

He joins Revenge as Ethan, a mystery man with ties to Emily’s past.

The Liverpool-born actor’s previous telly credits include ITV’s DCI Banks and the BBC series Holby City and Hollyoaks.

Too late for that. She's already been cast in Revolution.

Emily's mom is alive! Amanda is pregnant! But is Victoria really dead? Ever since Revenge's literally explosive Season 1 finale, which saw Queen Grayson's private plane blow up, fans have been clamoring to know just whether the woman they love to hate has really thrown her last Hamptons soiree. Although our money is on a last-minute switcheroo, star Madeleine Stowe was one of only two cast members not present for a special set visit held for reporters Thursday as part of the Television Critics Association fall TV previews. "I think you have to tune in to see how we handle that," creator and executive Mike Kelley said. Added star Gabriel Mann: "She's not saying anything. She hasn't been around. We haven't seen her." Although they were mum about Victoria, Kelley and the show's cast shared 10 other juicy spoilers for the new season.

1. It's all coming back to Emily now. Although she looked shocked to learn that her mother was still alive in the season finale, Emily will start to remember the extreme circumstances under which her mom left the picture. "She's certainly going to be discovering things as we go," Emily VanCamp said. "She's sort of flashing back to what happened to the mom and that's how she's trying to trace where the mom might be. I think it's something very traumatic and she put it out of her head completely." Added Kelley: "It's a big surprise as to what happened to her."

2. Emily's mom is going to turn things upside down. The resurfacing of Emily's "very unhinged" mom — to be played by guest star Jennifer Jason Leigh — will challenge [Emily] to look inside of herself and evaluate why she behaves the way she behaves, VanCamp said. "I think it's going to bring out a whole different side of this character." Like the series premiere, the new season will again open with a quote — this time about destiny and particularly "whether you have a hand in choosing your own destiny or whether it's something that's already laid out for you," Kelley said. "This season is all about free will versus fate."

3. Hot fun in the summertime. It's time for the beach and BBQs once again in Southampton. "We open with a flash-forward to the end of summer again and a real terrible event occurs," Kelley said. "And then we bring the audience back to the beginning of the summer." This also means that when the show returns, Amanda is eight months pregnant. "The maternal instinct certainly makes her defend the baby ... but the fun Amanda is still there," Margarita Levieva said. Levieva, however, is still waiting to hear whether she'll be filming the birth for the show.

4. The love triangle has officially become a square. According to Levieva, Amanda will do her "mightiest" to keep Jack, who in turn will be "struggling with trying to reconcile his loyalty with his heart," Nick Wechsler said. And who else wants Emily? Daniel, despite how they ended things last season. "You're just going see someone who's — it says in the script — 'brooding,'" Josh Bowman said. "He feels guilt-ridden. He misses what he had with Emily." Look for Daniel to also develop a bit of a drinking problem as a result of his broken heart.

5. But Amanda will have to pass a very important test to win Jack. "I suspect that will come," Wechsler said of a possible paternity test. "I think there's no way he doesn't question [the paternity]. He's kind of going along with it out of obligation. I think his obligation to her makes him turn a blind eye to certain things. He's ignoring certain things in order to pretend he's happy or something. I think at some point, he's going to realize it."

6. Nolan's a new man ... or is he? Mann hinted that fans will start to see a new and different Nolan. "He got real tired of getting beat up last year," he said. However, despite all those physical, and sometimes emotional, injuries endured on Emily's behalf, he's still willing to go the distance for her. "At this point, I would do anything for her, including compromising my own safety and to a degree, my own morals," Mann said. However, part of this "new Nolan" includes a new love interest and a deeper exploration of Nolan's backstory. "I think we will start to live a little bit more in the world of NolCorp this year," Mann said.

7. Ashley is still one to watch out for. Now that Daniel is no longer with Emily, it's only natural (not!) that her so-called best friend, Ashley, will swoop in to take her place. "He's using her just as much as she's using him. She wants to get ahead in life and Daniel wants to do his own thing," Bowman said, noting how "guilt-ridden" Daniel is over his mother's death. "He's definitely preoccupied with Ashley, but he's not really there. His body might be there, but mentally, he's in a different realm. She's cute. She passes the time."

8. Charlotte survived her overdose, but has she overcome her addiction? "The addiction still plays a role," Christa B. Allen said. "[It's] still present in some way."

9. Is there hope for Charlotte and Declan? Hopefully, time really does heal all wounds for these star-crossed lovers. "It would be my prediction that they ultimately end up together but maybe not this season," Allen said. "They're two very different people and Declan did some shady things last season. That's hard to get over when you're lying in court to affect somebody's family and future." However, Charlotte needs someone to lean on now more than ever. "I think the reason he still loves Charlotte is because he knows how sad she is," Connor Paolo said. "Now, I think he's put aside everything because she almost died and her mom's dead."

10. Someone will learn the truth about Emily and Amanda: "It will eventually come out to a very important character and that's something I want to explore this season," Kelley said, "but it's not going to come out en masse until the very end of the series."

Revenge returns on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c on ABC.

TV Line:
Revenge Exclusive: Greek Goddess Joins Season 2 Cast — Is She Nolan's New Love?

Former Greek pot-stirrer Dilshad Vadsaria has Revenge (and possibly romance) on the brain.

The actress is joining ABC’s addictive Hamptons-based soap in a recurring role, TVLine has learned exclusively.

She’ll play Padma, a gorgeous, fiercely intelligent, pop culture savvy financial whiz who brings her own spin to her job at Nolan’s (Gabriel Mann) company.

Rumor has it this is the new love interest for Mann’s bisexual billionaire character that exec producer Mike Kelley hinted at last month.

Revenge‘s sophomore season gets underway on Sept. 30.

Well, he did say he was about a 3 on the Kinsey Scale...

Lame.

Something Wolf-y this way comes to Revenge.

JR Bourne, who portrays Allison’s dangerous dad on MTV’s Teen Wolf, has booked a recurring role in the ABC drama’s upcoming second season.

As first reported by our sister site Deadline, he joins as a “magnetic and self-assured” Hampton-ite named Kenny who hides behind his wealthy façade.

Bourne — whose other recent TV credits include The Secret Circle and Suits — is expected to return to Teen Wolf for its super-sized third season. Revenge, meanwhile, launches Season 2 in a new Sunday night time slot on Sept.30 at 9/8c.

ABC, give me a Once Upon a Time promo NOW! :o:up:

Youtube is becoming so annoying! Now they white out the video if you direct link it instead of doing it from youtube itself.

Target is going to have the DVD with a special cover (appears to be Emily's infinity box) and an extra disc with a 30 minute Q&A from their Paley panel.

I'm debating whether or not to get this tomorrow. MMPR is coming tomorrow as well and will probably be, like, 20 bucks cheaper. If only I had infinite cash.... :argh:

Conrad Grayson will have plenty of new enemies in the second season.

Wendy Crewson has snagged a guest-starring role on Revenge, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

The 24 and Saving Hope alum will play Helen, a powerful business executive who has dealings with Conrad (Henry Czerny). Helen exudes power and can easily dominate anyone who makes their way into her office. In other words, Conrad better watch out!

Crewson will appear in at least one episode, with the potential to recur in the second season of Revenge, which premieres Sunday Sept. 30 at 9/8c on ABC.
