Star Wars Producers Board Sci-Fi Tale R'Ha

Source: The Hollywood Reporter
June 6, 2013

Rick McCallum, best known for his work as a producer on the Star Wars prequels, is teaming with "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" producer Steve Tzirlin as well as Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold to develop R'Ha, a feature-length expansion of the recent short film by Kaleb Lechowski. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that "Life on Mars" creator Matthew Graham is attached to provide the screenplay.

Lechowski is attached to direct the feature version, which will follow an alien species, the R'Ha, and their quest to defend their race from an invading force.

i have enough of this BS. you use Vray with low settings ,blender for buildings and some cliche dialoge and your short movie gets a blockbuster budget in hollywood?i am going to render my own movie. :argh:

of course this (RA) will be an original scifi movie so its positive news.

I still think it's got potential to be a good movie. At six minutes in length you aren't given a lot of time to make a really unique story come to life. Taking the bold move of no humans for a change stands out too. Something I would've liked to see in the Alien versus Predator franchise for instance. Instead Hollywood insisted on throwing people into the mix and ruining it. I hope they don't do that to this.

i am angry that i dont have millions ok?:) thats all. the short movie is good . this was done by one guy. he did this all alone.

I want millions too. I don't know how to make movies though so I'll just by lottery tickets instead. Probably the same odds of hitting it rich.

Oh I agree. Two alien races going at each other and they set both films on Earth. The 2nd one in suburbia. :whatever:

I wrote through instead of throwing... must have been drunk. Don't remember drinking though.

The first was just barely explainable. The second was just ridiculous. This is why I hope R'Ha doesn't get humans shoe-horned into some stupid role to have that "human perspective" or whatever b.s. they claim.
