a man is found dead in a room with no windows or doors (okay, for the sake of the joke, ignore the fact that it would be impossible to get someone into a room that has no openings...the point is, he's in a room and nothing goes in or out)...the only other thing in the room is a rock. how did he die?

the answer is...the man is Superman and the rock is Kryptonite

NO!!!

Superman wouldnt be in a room with no openings

What is bony, covered in brass, and heading in your direction?

Gahhh...I can't figure this out.

There are 12 coins that look the same. One of them is a counterfeit that's either heavier/lighter than the rest. The only scale available is a simple balance. You can only use the scale 3 times. How do you find the counterfeit coin, and determine whether it's lighter or heavier?

Half the pile to put 6 coins on either said of the balance. That's one. If you know the counterfeit is heavier or lighter then half that pile to put 3 coins on either said of the balance. That's twice. For the third time third you take the pile containing the counterfeit and put one coin on either side of the balance and one off. If the balance is balanced then the counterfeit isn't on the balanced and if it is the counterfeit should be seen easy.

Coures you need to know if the counterfeit is heavier or lighter than a normal coin.
