I was listening to the Double Toasted review and they mentioned how there's a lot of comedy that goes on with Matt Damon's character.

So happy this is getting such good reviews. I've been a fan of Drew Goddard since he came on as a newbie writer on S7 of Buffy and wrote the best eps of the season (imo). I feel like a proud mama right now, lol.

Conversations with Dead People is still one of my all-time favorite Buffy episodes.

Nah no one dies in it, they all make it safe home, but judging by Sean Beans filmography, everytime he appeared on screen the audience around me literally started to giggle even during the intense scenes and when the film finished and showed the last shot of him applauding there was a good chunk of laughter from the crowd with one guy behind me questioning how he even lived through this film unharmed!

It's times like these i like watching films in a crowd rather than home.

If you ever wanted to see a feel-good movie set in space then go and check The Martian.

It's more fun, there are just two, maybe three tense moments but overall Damon's character is very positive, optimistic. Like I said, it's a feel-good movie. It's much closer to Ridley Scott's A Good Year (very underrated, can't believe it has just 25% on RT, for me it's a 9/10) then let's say Gravity or Interstellar.

There's one change to make Chastain's character more heroic, more important. Pena has some fine moments too but the rest of the crew is meh (mainly Mara but also Stan is dull). Chiwetel did a good job but in the book but I really liked Mackenzie Davies and Benedict Wong. I think there's a lot of story and a lot of characters. Probably the movie should have been 15-20 mins longer.

Opens tonight. I'll probably check it out on Tuesday, as I'm going to Sicario tomorrow and the times don't line up well enough for a double feature.

Yep, that one, Selfess and Lies My Parents Told Me are probably my top 3 faves of the season and maybe even somewhere in my Top 10 of the entire series.

I presume you're a fan of Alien and Matchstick Men? In terms of Ridley's filmography that's that The Martian is like.

I honestly thought my enjoyment of Sicario would dampen The Martian, it absolutely did not.

Saw it a couple of days ago, very very good. I'll try to see it again soon but there's a a bunch of films out over the next few weeks that look really promising - Sicario, Macbeth, The Lobster, The Walk, Spectre, Crimson Peak.
