Ripping Audio From Videos

Anybody got a good(free) program to do this. From videos such as avi. and mpg. If it could do DVD(VOB) that would be nice but i really just need them for the others.

Google Audacity, play what you want recording and hit record simple as that, thats how i rip 90% of my stuff

Second that. I needed to to the same thing for a project, and commercial audio rippers I tried were a pain. Using Audacity is how I ended up doing it.
