I really digged Ceasar's unique relationship with humans. He doesn't struggle to kill others, he struggles for his own kind. He wants the balance between apes and humans, because he belongs to both societies. He was raised among ones and became the leader in the eyes of others. I really liked the scenes, in which Ceasar never lets other apes to kill humans. He tries to explain to them that it's wrong, but, as I assume, in sequels they will stop obeying him, causing the war between two parties of apes. I believe it will be more like a conflict between chimps and gorillas, previously depicted in the older series.

I think the real lesson here is that the United States needs a great ape experimentation ban like the U.K. and Germany.

Somebody already put the infamous scene (you know the one if you've seen it) with Caesar and Malfoy online and are starting to use it in memes.

For the sequels I hope they don't try to remake the POTA orignal. Just show the end of human society and how the apes fall into their roles.

Wow 54 Million and 81% on RT. I don't think anyone expected that. That is awesome, I can't wait for the sequel. I need to see more of Caesar.

I wonder how long before that scene gets edited to the Rick Roll music with the line included

I believe that Ceasar started to talk as a result of his gradual development. He was raised among humans and even learnt to think like a human.

One problem I had with the film was that it never really shed a light on how the cure was developed and how it actually turned put to be a virus for us. I mean they could definetely include more science in a couple of scenes.

Certain charac6ters were also left underdevel;oped in my opinion. And, obviously I wasn't impressed by Franco's interaction with Ceasar in the end. He looks like "Oh well, ok then". There is no real conflict.

Finally, there were a few moments that would be doubtful in reality. For instance, Will and Frankling were testing Bright Eyes for a long period of time, at leats a few months. While testing, they were surely conducting analysis of her organism. So, how the heck they never really had a clue she was pregnant. I mean is it really possible among apes?

In conclusion, I'd say that the fil does a great job in exploring the journey of Ceasar and settinmg up a new continuity. However, most of the stuff with supporting characters and points could have been improved certainly.
He had to accept that Ceasar had outgrown him.

When Ceasar spoke I think Franco's character realized he couldn't keep him as a pet anymore.

That's a good point, I do understand this.

It just looked quite unnattural, in my opinion. Will ran through fires and bullets on the bridge, then he reaches the forest to finally meet Ceasar, exchange two-three lines and just stand watching Ceasar and other apes climbing up on trees.
Anyways, the film was still well-done.

Well what was he going to do? It's not like he can force Caesar. And even if Caesar did agree, are they going to go back through all the carnage? The authorities wouldn't leave him alone. They can't go back home.

^I felt the same way. The goodbye of Will and Caesar felt a bit short to me, I would have liked it to be more poignant. Especially since this might be the last we see of Will if there is a sequel.

I think it was the whole Caesar is home that made him realize that Caesar is ready to move on and that he needs to accept it.

I am sure they both knew that while Will wanted Ceasar to return home. That would only end badly after what just happened

Or there could be a direct sequel & Will & Ceasar still hang out & Ceasar makes that evil looking Ape 2nd in charge while hes gone & eventually the Apes under the evil looking Ape attack the humans & makes Ceasar pick a side ?

I hope in the special features on the blu ray you can watch the movie with no Caesar cg. Just Andy Serkis

^The next movie could go in any direction so that's why I said might.

I hope the sequel is direct and not just a "50 years later" type deal

I can't wait for the dvd for this movie and I rarely say that.

I wonder if Ceasar has a son he names it Will ? Or after Wills dad or both

Chimpanzees can live for quite a while. Some live to see their 70's in captivity. And they can give birth well into their 50's.

Felton just has that kind of face, he LOOKS like an *******.

I saw the movie this morning with my folks, the first thing my mom said when Tom Felton first appeared was, "Here comes trouble..." :funny:

Movie was really terrific. The special effects alone were just outrageously good, and I would love to see Serkis finally get some long-overdue recognition come awards time.

And damn, I nearly jumped right out of my seat when [blackout]Ceasar yelled "NO!"[/blackout] :wow:

I went to a screening on Wednesday in NYC and a lot of the audience was the black demographic.

Not trying to be condescending or stereotypical, but a lot of them were whooping and hollering. One next to me was just carrying on, it became rather annoying:

"Oh **** son! That big ass mothah ****** is gonna kick some ******* ass!(followed by talk I couldn't understand, seriously...) And this guy was carrying on for so many moments. I just wanted him to stop.

They laugh at inappropriate times. They are just ridiculous sometimes. I'm sorry but it's true.
