Rob Zombie to resurrect The Munsters!

20 minutes in... not feelin' it. When we have a show/film like WWDITS - this is just the b-rate bad version of that [excluding the mockumentary aspects] aka satirical take on monsters and ghouls.

"Hurly" seems to be the only one working.

I do like the shows of a character with the trippy rear-projections behind them. Those will be neat meme gifs soon, and the only thing worthwhile from this project.

I am 13 mins into this, and good gravy this has been a LONG 13 mins

I watched the movie a few days ago.
I hated it but I don’t feel it’s necessary to post my review since everything that can be said has been said about this garbage :funny:

I’ve been watching the original show to comfort myself and it’s become very clear that Rob Zombie watched the series again in preparation and took notes of small bits of dialogue and built his movie around them.
In one episode Eddie’s teacher will be visiting the Munster home and Eddie mentions how he hopes his dad doesn’t start telling his bad jokes.
In another episode Herman says how he wants to see a cartoon from the beginning so he can follow the plot.

That’s some shallow character writing from Rob Zombie.
It feels like a lazy book report. :funny:

I rented this on YouTube last night.

I actually enjoyed the initial sheer stupidity of it all with Lilly, Grandpa, Orlok and the graverobbers, but once Herman is introduced....yeesh. I had to stop watching last night and come back to it today.

I could see Sheri Moon and Daniel Roebuck paying tribute to the original actors to middling results, but Jeff Daniel Phillips was not Fred Gwynne in any shape or form. I wonder if Zombie knew this was damned from the outset and just reduced Herman to a loud dumb oaf in order to wrap things up quickly.

Finally I hate that this film even has me riled up enough to post this review.
