He'll be the one rational and compassionate voice of OCP and will be murdered by the "Boddiger" of the remake under orders of the "Dick Jones" of the remake.

Or not. I don't know. Just a hunch.

With news of Oldman being in this, I first imagined him being the one to kill Murphy. "Call EV_ERY-ONE!!!!!" but I think he'll only help the film with him being casted. Really hope this film does Robo some justice.

I imagine Oldman's character being a fusion of Morton and Dr. Lazarus from Robocop 3. Morton was in it for the money, and Lazarus didn't have the heart to erase Robo's humanity and memories, she then rebelled against OCP. I see Oldman going through that motion.

Don't worry. Gary Oldman is 5'10", so all his scenes should reflect that.

Doom it would be a mistake to go internal route. Its not really robocop then. It would just be a more six million dollar man//terminator rip off there. Like I said back a page they need to keep the look simular(with some minor upgrades/alternations). And do both pratical suit for like I said sttanding scenes/limited movement scenes. Then a half suit/mocop for action stuff. So actor/stunt men can get full mobility. Then cgi it in later. As long as they get ilm/weta, or one of those good smaller fx houses on board. I e happy with that.

Webhead, I agree on the internal route being a mistake.

I DO hope that they keep the "stomp" sound effect when he walks. They probably won't keep they way he moves in the reboot, even though thats one of my favorite aspects of the character.

Ya I wouldn't mind if he is streamlined more and can move faster. That would be an improvement I be happy with. Sounds he should have a good clump heavy step to him to show he weighs a lot and is strong. And I do hope they keep the gun in leg thing and him spinning it around hand.

Yeah, I doubt he's gonna have the same design. I feel like his movements can be more fluid and less robotic. Still retain the robotics of course, as this is a theme, but make it look cool too. It's better to be something slightly different than try to copy the original. Because that worked for what that film did. This design should do the same but in its own vision.

Look at Robo in the TAS...he's virtually the same, but has a lot more manoeuvres and enhanced speed.

Also, I'd like a plot involving Murphy being selected for the Robocop project, based on his psych profile, and being deliberately set up to be murdered. Akin to the first the movie and Robocop 2, where the OCP heads are wondering why Murphy was a success and the future Robocop's were failures. It was only because of Murphy's dedication to his job and a devoted Irish-Catholic was he able to stand the mental strain of becoming a cyborg.
