RockSlide Gets No LOVE!

BIO:
Rockslide is a member of the Xavier Institute, and is a new X-Man. He was formerly on the Hellions Squad and since M-Day has retained his powers. He is a mutant composed of gray craggy stone.

Origin
Even before gaining his mutant abilities, Santo was well described as a bully. His mutant ability, then was ultimately appropriate considering his outlook on his peers. After joining the Xavier School, Santo quickly became friends with another tough guy Jullian Keller. Both were handpicked by Emma Frost to become members of the Hellions squad. On the squad, Santo proved to be a valuable asset assisted his team in winning the prestigious Field Tournament and also assisted his teammates in forcibly opposing the arrest of fellow teammate Wither.

During summer vacation when the Kingmaker offered the team anything they wanted for an unknown price, Santo got to live his dream by becoming a superhuman wrestling champion. When the group refused to live up to the deal that the Kingmaker wanted, Santo was shattered by the Kingmaker, and then put back together by hellion.

During the house of M, Santo again was able to live his dream as a world-class professional wrestler. After the decimation Santo was one of the students whose powers remained. With many former classmates de-powered (most of which died in a bus explosion), Santo was chosen again by Emma Frost during a reorganization into one main squad for training. As one of the New X-Men, Santo would be one of the handful of mutants that would train to one day become an X-Man.

When William Stryker attacked the mansion, Rockslide assisted in battling him. Later after the team discovered the connection between Stryker and Nimrod, they sought out the Nimrod robot to destroy it. During battle, Rockslide was destroyed for a second time by Nimrod. Again, Hellion re-assembled his friend but this time making him larger and more rough and craggy.

Powers
While always a large and strong child, when his mutant powers manifested Rockslide became larger and is made of craggy, grey organic rock. This form grants him enhanced strength, stamina, and durability. He can also fire his hands as projectiles at opponents. These parts are not under his control after being ejected, and simply fly as if they were thrown. When a body part is removed by being fired or smashed, Santo can re-attach it by placing it where it belongs. Santo has demonstrated in the past that this can happen even when his entire body is demolished as long as he is assisted (in both cases by Hellion's telekinesis).

Okay:

Here we have a guy who is WORSE OFF than the THING.

There is no "human" form to go to,.. and everytime he's taken apart,.. he comes back craggier and craggier.

His friends treat him like a pervert because he's always talking about women,... something in his current form kinda remains out of reach. at best,.. like the Thing,.. he has almost no hope that a Marvel U female will find him attractive.

His libido is present but he can get no play,...

How can his friends be so cruel?

Eh, I don't see him wanting to look more human, he's one of those mutants that seem to really take pride in their appearance. I wish they had stuck with the whole magma look he had.

If he's never had a more human appearance, I don't get how it's worse for him than it is for the Thing. Rockslide is what he is and could accept himself as he is, just like people who're born with a handicap or deformity could accept themselves and still be happy, healthy individuals. Ben's a guy who lived life as a normal guy and was perfectly content, but then had to deal with turning into a horribly disfigured freak. He knows what life is like as a normal person and he longs for it. Rockslide doesn't. If it's about libido, there are plenty of freaky mutant chicks who'd love to have him, I'm sure. If Beak could find someone, anyone can.

Actually we don't know if he ever had a human appearance, they've never really gone deep into his background. He's the least developed of the old Hellions squad.

He's an exact rip off of Ben only crappier. Even the wrestling thing?

Plus mutants get depowered and repowered like every other day. It's not nearly the situation Ben has. Reed Richards has devoted a huge amount of time helping ben and nothing because he has cosmic powers. Mutant get depowered all the freaking time. I'm sure if he wanted to he could become normal again.

I don't think he can die.....he is just a psionic mind than can form and inhabit a body of rock.....kill his body to the nines and he can just get a new one.
