Drama Rocky/Creed Cinematic Universe Thread

This doesn’t really seem like a movie that will be enhanced by IMAX
What, who doesn't want to see MBJ and Jonathan Majors' sweat glistening on an eight-story tall screen? :o

Imagine the 4D screenings.

That’s great to hear about the innovative fight scenes. Rocky II I think introduced the slow-mo, extreme CU punches for the first time in a boxing film.
After so many Rocky films I’m glad there are people in charge of it who are still willing to innovate. I never would have expected a Rocky spinoff series to be such high quality.

So pumped for this movie. Not gonna lie, I was expecting for a possible dip in quality from the first 2, especially with MBJ's first directorial effort, but very glad to see the common consensus is that it's at least better than Creed 2, which was a good movie also.

Particularly looking forward to Jonathan Majors. A hallmark of any decent Rocky flick is a good antagonist but for a bit there, even though Rocky 6 and the first Creed were great movies, they had forgettable antagonists so it looked like the franchise wasn't going to be able to recreate the villain magic from the first 4 films but seems like with Creed 2 and now 3, they got the magic back.

Very curious about those anime inspired fights.
It’s literally the only thing that has me wanting to see it in theaters. I love the entire series, saw the first two creeds opening weekend. Don’t go to theaters anymore because the luster is gone for me, but this just sounds different enough that I want to see how it plays out.

I can't wait!! Great to see such early praise. And those innovative fight scenes have me so hyped. It's really great to see this franchise continue to flourish in the way it has. Also, all the praise for Majors and putting him in apollo creeds category as a villain is just awesome.

Wish they kind of just kept to the first trailer. This one a little more spoilery.

Looks like it might just be a flashback.

Jordan does look so much like Carl Weathers in some shots
