I know all indications point to the contrary, but I honestly wouldn't rule out a score in the 90s. Not saying I necessarily think that's going to happen, but I genuinely believe it's possible.

Hear me out... Even if all the reviews that eventually come out are 'mixed,' all it takes is the slightest advantage towards positive for the reviewer to give it the 'fresh' seal of approval

I feel this way because the rotten reviews seem to be utterly disgusted with the film, just completely negative (almost sounding childishly biased, as if there was no possible way they'd like this film). But all the reviews that read mixed are ultimately fresh ones. That leads me to believe (maybe misguidedly) that the majority (if not just about all) critics who are 'mixed' about the movie will give it a Fresh.. just bc despite all the criticisms, the positive aspects of the film seem to be so glowing that they eventually outweigh the bad for critics and result in an overall positive and 'fresh' review. Which is technically all that matters for the score, whether that's a good or bad thing

This flick is gonna settle in the mid 70's. Count on it.

Most likely. That or low 80s is my best guess. Just not rulin out a much higher score either

At this point this seems most likely, a little disappointing though, I was hoping this movie would be received much more favorably than the last one, but it looks like it'll either receive around the same consesus as the first one, or possibly even lower.

It seems MOST likely with 12 good reviews and 3 bad ones??? Ok....:o:yay:

Find me one single film on RT that has 100+ reviews and is in the 90 percentile with an average around or below a 7. I don't think it's ever even happened.

It's not math it's bullcrap.

Which means it's math lol nothing falls up and hits with impact, only when something falls down is when there's impact. Unless you have a rocket or something pressing up against your stomach.

I think the best TASM2 can hope for is 80% fresh, but I won't be surprised if settles in the high 70% at the end.

Trust me we all know your perspective and opinion on the matter, I was just stating mine. And it wasn't even my opinion, it was just stating a potential possibility (one I don't even really believe in and basically consider far-fetched if you really read it).

And with such few reviews, and the 3 negative ones weighing and contributing so heavily to the average, the 7 avg means absolutely nothing. I wish I had your crystal ball that was telling you for a fact that this isn't going to be the case, idc how improbable it may be, anything's technically possible. But good for you, staying so consistent in tempering any positivity for this movie (even when it's hypothetical).

In a lot of ways, the RT score reminds me of school. Bad marks bring you down more than good assignments bring you up. I remember in grade 10 when I got my first zero. The teacher asked me if I know what I'm in for.

"Do you know what a zero does to your mark?"

"Umm...no, miss."

"Well, you'll find out tomorrow."

Went down 15%. :argh:

A zero? LOL, you didn't write anything?

I'm sad now you guys :( Not only did the reviews that isn't blogs didn't went up, but probably the only ones that actually bother is the negative ones. And they're probably putting it up just to see the movie fail D:

I'm just gonna go into a corner.....

Noticed this in the Daily Star review:

But the days when superhero movies were all about beginnings, middles and satisfying ends seem to be over. To set up the next two instalments and two planned spin-offs, Webb ties us up in multiple future plot lines.

1) When was the status quo for superhero movies all about "beginnings, middles, and satisfying ends? Literally only one franchises ever did that - Nolan's Batman. All other trilogies didn't get sequels because they crashed in the pre-production days.

2) How does TASM 2 differ in that regard from every other superhero film these days? That's the new status quo, from Marvel to Sony to Fox to WB.

I just learned, thanks to Eggyman, that the Daily Star has lots and lots of photos of boobies. He wasn't even aware that they printed words in the publication, other than measurements. lol. I guess we can call their review of ASM2 just another boob.
