This flick is gonna settle in the mid 70's. Count on it.

At this point this seems most likely, a little disappointing though, I was hoping this movie would be received much more favorably than the last one, but it looks like it'll either receive around the same consesus as the first one, or possibly even lower.
I know all indications point to the contrary, but I honestly wouldn't rule out a score in the 90s. Not saying I necessarily think that's going to happen, but I genuinely believe it's possible.
Hear me out... Even if all the reviews that eventually come out are 'mixed,' all it takes is the slightest advantage towards positive for the reviewer to give it the 'fresh' seal of approval
I feel this way because the rotten reviews seem to be utterly disgusted with the film, just completely negative (almost sounding childishly biased, as if there was no possible way they'd like this film). But all the reviews that read mixed are ultimately fresh ones. That leads me to believe (maybe misguidedly) that the majority (if not just about all) critics who are 'mixed' about the movie will give it a Fresh.. just bc despite all the criticisms, the positive aspects of the film seem to be so glowing that they eventually outweigh the bad for critics and result in an overall positive and 'fresh' review. Which is technically all that matters for the score, whether that's a good or bad thing
Seems wrong for one review to lower the score by 6% while it would take another 2-3 positives to bring it back up
That's why I never liked math!![]()
damn you math!![]()
It's not math it's bullcrap.

which means it's math lol nothing falls up and hits with impact, only when something falls down is when there's impact. Unless you have a rocket or something pressing up against your stomach.
Find me one single film on RT that has 100+ reviews and is in the 90 percentile with an average around or below a 7. I don't think it's ever even happened.
But the days when superhero movies were all about beginnings, middles and satisfying ends seem to be over. To set up the next two instalments and two planned spin-offs, Webb ties us up in multiple future plot lines.
