This IP could easily be turned into a badass game. A third person shooter style thing would be pretty sweet and I would pay good money for it. Actually this clip below has pretty much that vibe.
Nice to see action movies which aren’t just churned out and try and take things further and break new ground. Creatives who are passionate about the genre rather than just turning up for a pay cheque.Yeah, that would be cool as hell.
We should in general have more cool, badass Third person Shooter games out there.
I watch the first Extraction quite often, so its cool to hear that the second one gets quite a bit of praise.
It looks cool and im super excited for its release.
Between this and John Wick, im eating good in terms of action movies recently.
Great call. I hope someone picks it up and gives the game the same intensity and imagination in action scenes. This IP could easily be turned into a badass game. Wow, good to hear. Even if I like it only half as much as John Wick I’ll be very happy.I liked it. The action was well done and definitely improved on the first. I’ll be even say this is better than John Wick movies, which can crumble under its own mythology after the first couple of movies.
Great to see, given I already really liked the first one.RT comparison:

Nice increase and good to see CH do well in another franchise.![]()
Yeah, Hemsworth hasn’t had it plain sailing outside of the MCU, but he fits roles like this like a glove. Hope he gets more like it.Well, that was pretty fricking awesome and so worth the wait IMO. I thought this was much better than the first movie which I really liked, but it had some serious problems outside of the action sequences.
This felt like it had much better pacing in between the action set pieces and my god are the set pieces in this pretty spectacular especially that entire one-shot sequence at the beginning of the movie.
While it doesn't have the cinematic quality of something like John Wick or Mission Impossible this is easily the third best modern action franchise right now and I hope they never stop making them.
Hemsworth was born for roles like this.
I’m never going to complain with a Rocky and John Wick vibe.I just finished it and it was surprisingly fun to watch with great action sequences.
I got a bit of a Rocky IV vibe from the training montage was feeling a bit of a John Wick vibe from the action. It even had Daniel Bernhardt from the first JW, but he seems to be the go to guy as a henchman in virtually every action movie recently.
I'd give it an 8/10, maybe even an 8.5.![]()
Wow, I was expecting it to be really good but this makes it sound a fair way even beyond my expectations! Seriously hypedI watched it last night, this is the one for Mission Impossible to beat next month as it's the best action movie of the year so far, absolutely loved it! It doesn't use as much CGI as Fast X and Tyler isn't superhuman, and it's two major sequences are better paced than the ones in John Wick 4 and I loved that movie.
The story is straightforward and tightly knitted together, perfectly marrying the franchise's concept to a set of characters you can invest in. Hemsworth gets to stretch his acting muscles as Tyler's vulnerability is on show, while still being the ideal badass hero with humour and charm, his dynamic with Nik and Yaz was great and i enjoyed his verbal sparring with Idris Elba's character, plus the Rocky IV training montage (@Incarnadine) made me smileI've never seen Tinatin Dalakishvili in anything before but she was excellent as Ketevan, a gritty and emotionally raw portrayal of a mother sacrificing everything for her kids, and she was a Lioness in the movies standout action sequence.
That brings me to the action, the one take sequence is simply one of the greatest action sequences ever captured, a magnificent technical achievement and brimming with visceral energy, inventiveness, variety, urgency and a sense of stakes, it exceeded the hype and is the sequence to beat this year.
The second big sequence is no slouch either, a tactically tight siege on a building ala Die Hard that is full of hard hitting encounters and spectacular moments that are perfectly paced with a sense of stakes once more driving it. The finale showdown is smaller in scale but very satisfying and Tyler's final shot made me grin.
The ending sets up another movie and I'm personally looking forward to Tyler and Nic's next mission, as well as finding out more about Idris Elba's character and whomever he's working for.
