Documentary/Biopic Sam Mendes directing 4 biopics on each member of The Beatles

Anna Sawai as Yoko… suddenly “Dominic West as Prince Charles” has some competition when it comes to extreme generosity toward the real life person being portrayed.

All of them dropping the same month seems… risky.

I'm fully expecting them to change their minds by next year.

I still can't see Quinn as George but I'm still excited for all of them.

What would make more sense is every 2-3 months spread throughout the year.

Lol. All 4 movies in the same month. Good luck with that. Even 4 movies spread out in 1 year is a risk.

Unless its 4 movies for a price of 1 ticket, then cool. Most likely, people are just going to pay for the most popular members of the group, and skip the least popular.

Walked in on some documentary footage of The Beatles on TV and it really is striking… just how much Joseph Quinn in no way resembles George Harrison.

Will they show Lennon beating his partners?

Still not the most egregious casting in this because I forgot that Anna Sawai is playing Yoko and that's VERY generous casting to say the least. :o

The James Brown biopic weirdly had him breaking the fourth wall after beating his wife.

I doubt Mendes will touch it, maybe in dialogue while his biopic will probably focus on how he changed in the 70s.

I’m also interested how they handle his relationship with Julian who he was pretty awful to.

It’s definitely generous casting, but at least I can kind of see that as just a much, much prettier version of Yoko. It’s hard for me to imagine the work that would need to be done to make Quinn look anything like George Harrison.

But tbh, the only actor I can really even semi-strongly picture in their role is Harris Dickinson. The whole thing is still a bit weird to me, honestly.

I can very much see Barry as Ringo because up until he came along I can't really pinpoint anyone else to play him. They have similar features.

I actually think Harris Dickinson looks more like Paul McCartney and Paul Mescal looks more like John Lennon so the casting being the reversal of that is interesting to me.
