We need more comics set in feudal Japan. Virgin is currently covering the indian mythology and now I'd like to see more japanese comics (and no I'm not talking about bloody anime). In the mean time, BUY THIS!

Freakin sweet!!!!!!!!

I know about manga, I mean in a western style

What you said is like saying why watch the matrix when there's ****-loads of hong-kong action films. Sometimes it's good to get a familiar style from a different perspective. :p

meh, that usually means a compromise on quality in order to please the masses....

not if the writer/director appreciates the source material and treats it with respect

alright, given your movie example, name me a western martial arts epic that rivals anything done in hong kong?

drive and ghost dog i have yet to see.

but kill bill and matrix, martial arts wise are aweful:down: no match whatso ever but tolerable western efforts.

but fair enough.

i'll try not to take this off topic but i still firmly believe that a western approach to something that is not their own will lead to a drop in quality. However this drop may not be so bad in the eyes of the main comic populous. ALthough those who do purchase manga and have for numerous years may notice this,, it probably won't affect its sales if it becomes pretty popular

samurai, ninjas, it's all the same. I see too many of them, personally.

Sheesh, seriously, Bendis just treated us to Ninjas and the Silver Samurai.

One's a body guard and enforcer, the other's an assassin, they are different

actually ninjas were specifically trained to take out samurai. Also the samurai live by a code of honour as many assassins do (or so I've heard, I've never been to northern ireland and you can't prove I have) Ninjitsu is all about dirty tricks and killing no matter what it takes.

Yeah I know that technically. One has honour, one does not, basically. or i was told something like that. Ninjas pop up in EVERY comic and many japanese comics are done now and again. Just go read the previews at imagecomics.com. There's bound to be a couple. EDIT: I looked, could only find The Portent.http://www.imagecomics.com/onlinecomics.php Still...
Oh yeah and I hate all that Wolverine-japanese link stuff. It pretty much drove me away from his comic when I used to read it.
