Sci Fi Channel has a new name...

It's really sad. Sci Fi used to have some really interesting shows a few years ago. Now it's like a burnt-out wasteland with wrestling and reality crap like Ghost Hunters as their flagship shows.

Ghost Hunters makes me laugh. They're really trying to act like it's real, but the very fact that they're on the Science FICTION channel undermines that.

The commercials always hype it up so ridiculously, too. "You'll never believe what happens when the Ghost Hunters go to __________!" Of course we won't because it's total bulls***. :o

The channel lost all credibility with me when they ran a "documentary" about the Blair Witch several years ago.

They should call up Rockne O'Bannon and get him to develop something new. If the creator of Farscape can't save the channel, I don't know who could.

Even the new slogan sucks balls! What the hell kind of GD slogan is "Imagine Greater"?!? Really?!!?

The only show worth watching on there will be Doctor Who and most people just scope that out before it makes it's way over to America. :o

Though seeing as that's going HD, I may watch episodes again on Sci--I mean SyFyHD.

I've tried watching Dr. Who once or twice, it's just too English for me.

Well Skin's would only be on BBC America...so you'd be asking for the heavy accents lol

Oh, well... duh.

It's not even the accents that bother me.

I saw one episode, and it was pretty good. But the stupid prices on the DVDs keep me from watching more.
It's a generally good show with a lot of problems. I think I've unabashedly enjoyed maybe two or three episodes in its four seasons so far. All the others elicit an "it was pretty good, but..." response from me.

It had a couple of boring filler episodes in the second season, I thought, but from the third season on it's been kicking all kinds of ass. I love it.

I get this feeling from almost every show on TV these days. I only have 2 shows now that I feel are actually delivering on their narrative promises, maybe 3.

...the f**k? "Syfy"?! Since when is Sci-fi (yes, it is Sci-fi and I refure to call it... that) being run by lolcats?

because they don't want to limit themselves to "Sci Fi" programs. (as if they have been)
They want to focus on "imagination programing" or some crap like that.

Its the internets fault.
