the acting is just awful, especially the scene where the two men discuss the various genres that Hubbard has written in. also, keep an eye out for Kirstie Alley and John Travolta.

Okay, I actually watched the whole thing. Fascinating. How anyone with half a brain could listen to all that contradictory rhetoric and not see how full of sh1t these people are is beyond me. They don't even do a very good job of disguising how disgenuine and loathing they are of everyone and everything in their RECRUITING videos! And that host they had (at first I thought it was Dirk Benedict in spectacular Blurr-O-Vision, actually)....what a tool. Everyone in that video was just so damn condescending, to boot. Anyone who's bought into this BS has even less respect from me than they did already after seeing that. Nice find, Dope Nose.

Wow, I just watched the part where they talk about all of the court cases that determined that it's a "bonafide" (I loathe that word) Religion and I think the Hype-Mods need to watch that.

I think Christianity is just as laughable (the only difference being that it has done a billion times more damage than Scientology has), and similarly to Deemar, I would ask, "Who in their right minds would want to join this kooky cult?" (Christianity)
And yet if one guy mocks Scientology/Scientologists in a specific way, it's perfectly acceptible here.
If another guy mocks Christianity/Christians in the exact same way, he gets a warning and threats of probation or banning.

The favoritism and double standards, and flimsy justifications for them, smell like the dirty diaper of a baby who was only fed bleu cheese dressing and strained asparagus.
