Seaman? Ah he heh hee

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!BWAHAHAHA!

i never played the first silly little game, but i've always wanted to.

i have to ask, again, though, why is this (relatively) high-profile game on the ps2? why isn't this a ps3 exclusive?

High profile? Really?

My answer to that is the same as it was last time. PS2 has a base of 100 million compared to the PS3's 1 million. If I wanted my game to sell big, I'd be inclined to rely on the last-gen platform too, and focus on next-gen when the numbers meant my game would sell decent numbers.

Seaman 1 originally came out on the Dreamcast, and it was a very big a well seellign game (in Japan and to a lesser extent Europe). It was more of a pure Niche title in America.

THey announced this game ages ago, I thought it had been cancelled for about a year. They were probably so far into development of the PS2 version that switching it to the PS3 wouldn't be feasable for them on their budget (not huge despite the sucess of Seaman).

I'd imagine a Seaman game will probably appear on the PS3 or Wii (likely) at some point. I also think Sega is stupid for not making a port of Seaman to the DS.

LOL, I loved the first one for the Dreamcast.. Even though the voice recognizing program they used with the microphone sucked.. It was fun just to mess with your fish and hear him tell you off.

well, kind of high profile. the first one is pretty well known.

and what you said is true enough, sure, but how are they planning to sell ps3's when all these great games are ps2 exclusives?

they need to take a chance. if god of war 2, seaman 2, the new (80's version) guitar hero, burnout dominator, and whatever other ps2 games were ps3 exclusives (and especially launch titles) i can almost guarantee they'd have sold at least 3x as many systems by now.

I was just going to say that Seaman on the DS is a perfect match. And that sounds weird any way you put it....
