It's like sitting there foolishly dreaming of some "miracle-machine" that makes it easy to give yourself a consistent, professional-looking haircut at home.

The...search...engine...has...problems. It only works part of the time, at least for me.

Guys, when a problem is intermittent, we have to know exactly what you were doing before the error occurred. You have to be detailed. You can't just say 'it doesn't work sometimes'. You need to give concrete, detailed examples including whether you were using basic or advanced search, what thread you were in, etc. That way, Malice can attempt to replicate what you are doing and find out what's happening exactly.

Some examples:

I was in the Gamma Lounge Thread (http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228414) and used the 'Search this Thread' function for the word Twitch. It came up with a blank screen as results.

I was using the Advanced Search and entered the following criteria (everything else left as default):

Key Word: Daisy
Find Posts From: A Month Ago and Newer
Show Results as: Posts

I got a blank screen as a result.

That's the only way Malice will be able to diagnose and fix an intermittent problem like this.

Ok, how about this: I was in the X-Men The Last Stand forum, searching the avatar thread (http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=215619&page=416 . I searched the entire thread for "Iceman", as I was looking for a new avatar.

I got a blank page.

Now that I think about it, every time I've used the "Search this Thread" function, I end up with nothing.
