That's what [blackout]I predicted a couple episodes back, but I wasn't expecting Mariah to be the one to take him out. That part surprised me.[/blackout]Well, so long to Cottonmouth. Wasn't expecting him to go out so early. Especially after how much Coker hyped him up. I guess it was all just about building up Diamondback as the big bad all along?
Damn, Alfre Woodard is really killin' it.
I think that applies more to Shades.Cottonmouth is probably the best actor on the show and the character with the most charisma.
I liked this episode but, in some ways, it was a bit pointless. Last episode seemed to resolve Cottonmouth's story, this one suggested it was still open only to resolve it at the end. Still, they've been teasing Diamondback, so it's good to see him enter the fray.
The flashbacks were the highlight. I like seeing Mamma Mable and how she crafted both Cornell and Mariah. It really makes Cornell far more sympathetic. Under different circumstances, he would have been quite different.
Four Stars.
