After The Citizen prints an explosive story, Iris' life is threatened; refusing to hide from her attackers, Iris sets out to expose a dangerous organization; Barry must consequences of the Crisis and fulfill Oliver Queen's wish for him.

Must've been filmed while Grant was still finishing up Crisis? Either way though, been a really solid episode so far and I'm interested to see what this "Black Hole" stuff is about.

Dr. Light. I kinda figured that was her.

So....if you were part of the original E2....you are kind of just forgotten in this universe? Didnt get merged? No Prime versions running around?

Well, that was interesting! Still really enjoying this season so far. Black Hole intrigues me, but I didn't really care for the whole Barry/Oliver/Diggle thing here.

Iris centric episode, but it worked. I hope Black Hole isn't the main "big bad" for this second half though.

Decent episode. New title card was cool.

I liked the Barry/Diggle stuff. Seemed very in character for Barry and it was nice to see him really dealing with Oliver’s death.

Cisco freaking out about how the world works now is me. This show’s history is probably messed up the most out of the bunch. Not a big fan of sending him on another soul searching quest off-screen.

Looking forward to how the rest of the season pans out.

Edit: I wonder when they’re going to address Jay’s current status.

I see that Iris has turned into Lois.

I agree with the above that this must have been filmed during Crisis.

It was a very passable episode and I honestly didn't care for the iris investigation stuff unless it leads to something great. Barry deciding on a random clue from Oliver's mask was a bit of a stretch but a cheap way to get him out of the show while filming the crossover.

Best thing about this episode was the new intro.

The new Dr. Light could use a huge upgrade in the wardrobe department. It's 2020. I felt like I was watching a villain from the LnC series back in the 90's.

Though on the bright side, at least that gives the future Sue Dibny a better chance of avoiding the terrible fate that she suffered in the comics given who are current Dr. Light is.

So I guess Harry and Jessie are definitely gone. And no more alternate Wells each season.

This episode did feel a bit like a filler.

Not really. It helped set up Black Hole, who'll have a big role in the second half of the season.

Just caught up on this. Is this show called, “THE IRIS” now?

Smh...

I’m confused how that holographic recording even exists if, in this new multiverse, that Wells (and by extension, Jessie) never existed in the first place.

I also wonder whether the Hunter Zoloman of Earth Prime has the potential to become Zoom.

Eh. I just chalk it up to Grant still filming Crisis and nothing wrong with giving Iris a storyline here, but I'll admit next week looks very Iris centric too.

Well she has said before "We are the Flash" so I guess watching her still constitutes watching a story about the Flash.

Food for thought, this Iris West couldn't possibly be the same one that Barry left pre Crisis, surely? Wouldn't she be a version of Iris West post merge? That's therefore not the same woman he actually married. The only people that are the same people are the paragons.

Yeah, I knew it was his bday so I thought it was time off from that but that was too recent. It was probably CRISIS shooting. Unfortunate that that’s the case..

A whole 5 minute after credits scene of her? Jesus..I’m not even hating on her character, I think she’s fine. Hopefully this gets somewhat resolved.

Well is she even the same Iris West post Flashpoint or a different one?

I would argue a different one, depending on whether her essence was merged with other Iris Wests, but in the same breath, that applies to everyone that wasn't a paragon.

Although it's comics rather than TV, and a few years old now, Convergence showed that the old universes are all still out there even after multiverse-merging events. What we have now on TV with Earth Prime could be an entirely new universe where the characters who think they remember their pre-Crisis worlds are just experiencing copies of the memories of their progenitors.

I liked the episode.

I'm pretty sure that CEO was one of Francis' military school friends in Malcolm in the Middle.

Underwhelming.
I get that they filmed this during the Crisis shoots, but it's a shame they didn't have anything more compelling to fill it with. I do like Iris (though she is no Lois Lane, hawt or otherwise!) but I'm just not interested in her character as being the center even for one episode.
I would have much preferred them focusing more in Cisco (since he's going away for a while) or Kate/Frost or Harry. The little bits with Cisco and Harry were far more interesting than 'Iris - Intrepid Reporter!'

As to the multiverse, I'm still holding out hope that Earth 2 is still out there and they just lost the address...

Also, I really wish they hadn't wimped out about Barry vanishing. Five or six years of run-up, just to pull a cheap switcheroo move.:nono:
