Well since it has already been stated that FF characters are not to be used (separate thread) I think there is reason to believe it is accurate and my "panties" are fine. Just because I don't drink the Marvel kool aid and nod my head to everything they do doesn't mean I'm negative. i just think discontinuing a comic (even if it does come back which I believe it will) because the head of the studio it throwing a hissy fit is dumb.

At first i was opposed to a reboot. But after spending time this weekend trying to get my friend up to date with the marvel u, it was nearly impossible to do it in any way that makes sense. I welcome a reboot now.

I welcome this new Civil War if it is attempting to right the wrongs of the continuity post-Civil War (the last one), like One More Day/Brand New Day.

With Civil War being announced yesterday and Age of Ultron vs Marvel Zombies being announced today it definitely seems like Secret Wars could be a dimension colliding event that is causing these events to return. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Earth X, Secret Invasion, Seige, Fear Itself, etc announcement in the coming days.

This does basically look like a crisis like event and I'm sure Marvel knows that. I don't think they'll reboot, but they might clean up continuity a bit and possible get rid of a bunc of alternate timelines/realities.

Spider-Verse
Civil War
Whatever Hickman is doing in Avengers (I dunno, cause I stop reading those books)
The X-Men time travel/visiting the Ulitmate universe stuff

DC has:
Multiversity

Hell even the Ben 10 cartoon has been doing an alternate universe hoping storyline that started with Good Bens vs Evil Bens and has been showing Ben jumping between parallel worlds and future Ben keeps traveling back in time to help out.

part of Marvel's appeal over DC for me has always been the real world aspects, being NYC not Metropolis, Ms. Marvel now being set in my home state, that sort of thing

an amalgam (not Amalgam) world with different realities fighting each other sounds like it'll get old REAL quick
I hope the end result is only the 616 universe left standing, no more stupid otherworlds
but I'm not hopeful of that
