Does anyone here take any Rx drugs to help with anxiety or depression?

Is there one pill that will help someone cope with both?

Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm suppose to be but I don't. [/rebel]
It's for pain management which is suppose to ease or lessen the depression. meh.

I'm waiting till I get health insurance until I go to a doctor.

prescription means the doctor has to refer you to them..why are you askin us????

i understand you're depressed but different kinds work for different folx... go see a psyhiatrist and no im not doggin you...im being real...

im takin zanex and ristorill(insomnia)

but they may not work for you

Drugs for depression don't solve anything, they just dope you up with "happy dugs".

Thats all I want. To feel happy.

I'm tired of feelinjg the way I have been for the past 10 years.

I assume right after I start looking.

And the moment you stop taking them go back into depression. :whatever:
stop being so negative about life krit... sometimes folx need help...
imnot sayin there arent those that take advantage but you can find those in ANYTHING.... the only reason people say they get depressed again is cause 99% of the anti depressants are addictive and you have to be weaned off.. i stoppd cold turkey once i found that out..but i dont have an addictive nature

i'm taking some weird cheap kind that is blue. All i know is don't take prozac in high doses. I was shaking constantly on it. I think it is called zoloft not to be confused with slozoft!

I'm not taking a negative outlook upon life, I just think that drugs are a way of avoiding the problem.

I agree with this to an extent. I'm sure there are some cases where people have a chemical imbalance that would cause them to feel depressed all the time, and prescription drugs are beneficial. But I think most cases of depression can be remedied through other means. Exercising releases endorphines and can help deal with depression. Perhaps alone that would do, and sometimes more is needed: therapy, positive change in your life, etc.
I've suffered depression at a time in my life. I started exercising regualrly and enacted some positive changes in my life...the depression went away and never had a problem since, and it's been nigh on a decade.
I think people too quickly turn to medications to solve problems.(ADD and depression being to the main ones)

Try a regular exercise routine, I know it sucks, but stick to it. When you get insurance find a reliable doctor and talk to him or her. The exercising gives you something positive to do that makes you feel good until you can see a professional.

I've taken Cymbalta and Zoloft, They work pretty good. Zanax is good but it's strong stuff and you can get hooked on it. You should really see a doctor before you take anything though.

excellent breakdown..exactly how i feel and excersize does work:woot:

My main problem is, I think it's called anxiety. I can't be around people, I get nervous and start to shake and sweat. I constantly feel like people are staring at me and judging me.

The hardest thing for me to do is go to a mall. About 5 minutes into it I start feeling lightheaded and shakey.
