I just purchansed a new PC. I want to set it up so both the PC and my laptop, can share files and the printer attached to the PC. They are both running Vista, and I'd imagine this should be easy, but can't quite figure it out. Can anyone here help?

actaully if u look around "cough" black dust "cough" and looked at some of vista's features you would see that theres a nifty program called WINDOWS MEETING SPACE... where you actually can transfer files back and forth bewteen computers running vista as long as there on the same network
lol

Lol most of my pcs are different workgroups (for one reason or another) and Vista has a knack of going "I have no idea what this is. we shall not communicate with it!"

Phff Easy? on Vista you kidding me? I had 2 pcs running XP and both were pretty much plug and play networks. nothing really to set up. I get 2 pcs with Vista and those freaking pcs wouldnt talk to each other for a gold bar! and dont get me started on xp to a vista pc!

Anyway

Follow that and you should be just fine.
Thank you for your smug attitude. It was truely helpful.
