Should a Dazzler film have a good soundtrack?

I didn't think Marvel would be serious about a Dazzler film. But if they were, do you think the actress should be able to sing and perform on stage? If so, what kind of music do you prefer? Pop? Rock'n Roll or both?

Movies today don't have unique soundtracks because musicians are asking too much for them nowadays. Maybe it would be better if a known singer played the part instead.

get a real actress in the role, one who can sing a bit, like the situation with Val Kilmer in the doors movie.

and it should have a full on pop/disco s/track written for the film by good bands, that would be expensive, but it could be worth it. if it was a good movie that caught on with the kids you could have a best selling album as well as a hit movie, like saturday night fever.

yeah disco, she was a character that spun out of the disco craze, so that should be represented. groups like the scissor sisters could make a great s/track with a modern disco sound.

people like lady gaga? their records sound too downbeat, even the dance ones, so it should be upbeat disco extravaganzas with glitter balls and the whole enchalada.

edit: actually , someone could do a visually spectacular dazzler movie, with modern sfx it could really be a groundbreaking movie. having superpowers that rely on noise/music, that in turn leads itself to colourful lightshows, man if you got some kalidascopic 3d 2001 style visuals in there, along with a great performer and a good story, forgetaboutit, you would not only get the teeny boppers in, you would get the stoner/mushroom messiahs queueing round the block for repeated viewings too.

but, it would need a good studio to back it up and a damn good director, and Fox has the rights, so not much chance of the great 3d(disco-dance-drama) epic this movie could be.
and there should be flares, it's about time flares came back in style. white flares, with studs.

I would update the music a bit and have the songs written by a new pop/disco act called Shiny Toy Guns. That band is pretty much perfect for a modern Dazzler film.

Here's their song Le Disko

Wasn't Dazzler meant to make a cameo in X-Men: The Last Stand (Beverly Mahood, who's a Canadian country singer was going to play her), only to cut out of the final script?
