I really don't know much about the actual comic, but I assume it's like the animated movie Superman vs The Elite, which I did like.

Like essentially have the same story structure, but a straight forward Superman, who after the events of MOS has purposefully tried to make himself a hero of the people.

Then you have Batman, who,. still after the death of Jason Todd and even his paranoia at Superman is growing more vicious. Ya know?

What do you think?

I haven't read that comic but Superman vs The Elite is one of my very favourite animated movies. To be honest I can't see it working too well for a second Supes movie. IMO he needs more years under his belt saving the world as the 'big blue boy scout' before we see a movie of him dealing with whether or not that's actually the right way. (Then again, Doomsday and the death of Superman shouldn't have been his second movie either! :funny:)

I don't remember a lot of the details of the comic but from what I do remember it was and would be unappealing, pretty anti-populist rather than populist or popular. I believe the story tried to make Superman right mostly just by making the Elite, like Gog in Kingdom Come, wrong, caricatures, so the whole story felt pretty manipulative.
