Should there be a "pre-Batman beyond" BTAS with 'Bruce Wayne' Batman in the BB suit?

No i don't think they should, Bruce looked stupid in that suit with his big build anyway. Also it would be taking away from the mystery element.

I get what you mean...not in terms of looking big...coz he should be your interpretation of how he should look. after all he' s fiction.

But where I get you is..yeah...the cape was a powerful source of mystery.
But it would look primitive in a modern metropolitian Gotham. Besides citing that reason and the fact that his suit has the stealth mode in would be made up for right.

Then again...this is purely our own interpretation or reason/excuse given for his characterisation. We don't even know what the creators were feeling about suiting him up this way. but so his real psychology lies with us to come up with right?

{Boy I really love discussing so indepth about these comic characters like they were real and our headline news, while realising that they are purely fiction and our own imagination, while staying grounded in reality and knowing the difference btw the two....ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!! :oldrazz:}

Background Con't (part4):

Bruce Wayne begins his training by studying his old cases again as well as training his mind and body from scratch, with new methods.

Studying:
In studying his old cases and recollecting his fights, he realised that while the primal element of fear and surprise would be the areas to attack regardless of time, his reluctance and tendency to hold back the urge to be lethal had been a factor that his opponents have now come to realise. and word spreads. In addition, in his time with the JLU and his occasional public appearances with the JLU especially in the day or in fighting aliens...had caused him his impression as a dark myth. True...he was still a myth...but he was now seen as a mortal myth, human. This was made worse when measured up to Superman and the rest of the JLU. Not that he hadn't single handedly saved all of them a number of times before, but in the times he had shown his vulnerabilities by needing their assistance in mid-fight. In view of this his trademarks after fighting for years were enough seen or countered by chance by his rogues gallery that they knew how or where to counter him. with new technologies. Also his time with the JLU had almost left it unchecked since he had indeed gone a little soft, when joined with a team. His reflexes were there and he was effective. but his methods were tried and tested and merely innovated for purpose of the crimes, but not actually revised or improved upon. As a result as opposed to being an advantage, his skills were now a game of tug of war, specially since he has been facing new technolgies and brave new crimes without resting.

The Solution1: Bruce looked his old cases and experience as a study, as he researched all his methods again and really refined them, so that they served a multi-purpose. They were simple for him, yet mysterious (so that the ways of the methods were blurred). At the same time they could be easily combined in any way to ensure no fixed pattern or identifiable blue print that his opponents could predict. Thirdly due to time changes, his methods would have to be able to adapt and upgrade, even in the spot, to suit any situation. [as an analogy...its like mixing Bruce Lee's JKD concept with other martial art zones with athletics, then some art or some thing else nothing to do with anything physcial or fitness. then refining it some more, that even there's no way to identify it as art or fighting or sport or anything. While at the same time, for the person in question, he can upgrade and improve on it in an instant to suit any any situation]. In effect he was Maximising the "Survival of the Fittest (most adaptable)" maxim. The greatest advantage was that which ever way an opponent were to hit, there's ALWAYS a counter. This was applicable to for the following reasons:

1) He needed to consolidate his unique experience
2) He needed to guard his own health as he wasn't getting younger
3) He was going up against smarter criminals.
4) He was able to apply it to all his skills and knowledge as well as his own Persona to the point that there was know seperating Batman from his skills. It was more than just being instinctive. His whole body & mind as Batman was a "limitless" integration of wisdom, vitality, skills, fully reactive to the environment (almost on precog-auto-pilot).

This was the next level of being able to react instinctively -- Anticipating instinctively while being detached and simple in approach. It's where he would be like a pilot, piloting his mech -- which is his body. At this level, he could react to by precise anticipation pranks of his rogue of villians as they launch it (like 'water'). [* for those who don't know: this anticipation is NOT a guessing game. It's this level of awareness that ur like a chess player...only instinctively. This is real and not fiction, but high level combatative prowness. I've just put it in coz its the only thing left after Batman's previous level stated as being instictive reaction]

Using the same concept, he trains his body:
In terms of exercise, he combines soft yoga-like techniques with taichi, combines pilates with light body exercises, before progressing.
He restarted incorporating these methods in Gymnastcs training.
In martial arts, he uses soft techniques to polish his combat skills, followed by a kind of progressive training combining all elements of his experience. He does mind exercises as well as meditation.
He included his Ninja and magic skills training (stealth, escapology etc...)

The difference between now and previous exercise times, is that previously he was pushing himself hard (like Rocky in Rocky Balboa), but now he was kind of doing it meditatively and flowing.

With this he also studies more philosophy and psychology with wellness improvement methods as well as on the rigours of aging and then more revisions of criminology spersed with his methods. He also studied all branches of Engineering again, along with new designs he prepared for his new costume and gadgets.

He was studying all these, partly to rejuventate himself, but also so that in reinventing himself, he could be more gentle on himself by being more efficient and simplistic.

Batman, to Bruce Wayne now, was not Vengeance driven or an Obsession, but A lifestyle and his work that's also a service to community. He realised, with foresight, that while he had to be at his best, he was a fool if he was to be a sacrificial goat at the expense of his service to the world at large. He realised, that he was have to go gentle on himself while rebuilding and healing himself.

With this he took all of his methods are condensed them, refined them till they were more than instinctive to him. His aim was to find the most efficient way to function and evolve, where he was used only the minimum of his essential strength to carry out his work. He was tough, but realised for the sake of his health, couldn't afford to take consecutive beatings or broken bones.

Yet his new approach to training soared his energy levels and functionality so that he was fitter than a the person he was half his age!!! With a sound, revised diet, he felt fresh. The Doctors were surprised that the scars of his fractured bones (existed since his career) were 50% miraculously healed and streamlined.

The Batmobile:
Next came his car. well...it was a cool batmobile, but it had to go, replaced by a hover car, competing and better than the ones Wayne Tech launched. Using the same technology as the other cars, he modified it so that it could make the most of the pneumatic propulsion on Earth and maglev propulsion even in the fringes of earth or under water. Fully fitted with a Life Support System, he peaked its speed at Mach 3 [ref: "the call"]. This car served as an all in one and was skinned with thin but dense armour composed of both Plastic Armour and Carbon Fibre composites. This armour protected the car from all projectiles, decent explosions or most energy blasts as weaved within in was deflective coatings. Fully equipped with the array of weapons and tools --all reinforced & miniaturised in size (power actually amplified) available in all previous vehicles. From Aerial view, it was in the shape of a resting Bat.

Of course just as a diamond has a chink in its cleave, the Batmobile had a design flaw, tat Bruce found unavoidable. If it hit certain angles on the craft, it would casue damage, but correcting those areas would affect the performance of the craft. So he left it at that, but ensured that the material was reinforced in the peripherals.

Background con't (part 5):

{There is a danger some of you might find this highly amusing and too fantastic. I have only given uses for his existing suit as it has been potrayed. If you have doubts: So stop, do the math yourself and think about the suit, then read on}

Next his suit. He figured that he had made enough if an image as Batman the myth. All he needed now was to project the right attitude (to affect the opponents psychology) together with all his skills. Then he needed to have his increased strength against tough opponents -- quite a few now enhanced with exosuits too-- and reflexes.

The suit:
So the suit was weaved with both Level 4 bullet proofing armour combining carbon fibres with strongest of spider-silk, having been personally re-moulded from their chemical structure so that it was immense powerful and could resist immense shocks. At the same time, it was lightweight and fire, frost, (somewhat) corrosion resistant. It was layered with advanced nano circuitary, but simplified so that it connected with certain points on Batman's body, amplifying its strength and sensitivities up to 10 times, relative to Batman's exertion. It had an additional sensor that could reinforce this to 15x under extreme conditions where his survival was at stake. As a safety mechanism, it has the suit shutting down, while maximising the users strength to 15 times & freezing/tensing the suit solid.

In total: Bruce could now lift ~800 Lbs (400 kg) and sprint 100m in ~ 8 seconds (~45km/h). [He's supposed to be fitter than at 20 years old.]
With the suit [x 10-15 his potential], he would be lifting 4-6 tons or peak running from: ~250 - 600km/h. Which is pretty darn fast. {do the math and refer to your old science text on exosuits...won't seem so far fetched. oh and the speed of a bullet is about 3km/s...so he can't out run it either}.

Also, the suit is designed to powerup from 0-15x potential in stages. This way, it has to surpass a relative upper limit (aimed between 50-80% exertion or the equivalent exertion of power) for each stage. So all Bruce has to do is to control and direct his increased energy. With his time investment in efficiency training Bruce develops excellent control of his energies to range from gentle-person to powerhouse.

He also trains with the suit, so that he can choose to release the suit's power either in stages, fluidly or all at once (such as when he's fighting mammoths faces with the JLU.)

The gliders:
This was in addition he has these efficient gliding wings attached from his lats to his fingertips. He carefully designed it so that it will only pop up when he is prepped to fly. once in flight, he designed to remain in glider mode, unless he changes his body position (out of gliding) or physically brings it to a close. His flight speed: from with a 5 ton thrust, is from: 300 - 900km/h, on a good day with lots of updraft, and provided he launched with all his strength. Free fall flight would actually be around 400 - 600 km/h with a jump off a building.
With thrusters he gets a 1.5x speed boost up to ~ Mach 1.
Of course since Bruce can't actually fly, he would glide, and use his thrusters to keep him going the distance.
His gliders, can also be partially opened at the lats, therefore giving him more stability when he is diving, therefore he can literally propel himself across city blocks by way of long-jumping.(his gliders, may slow his fall for landing)

Modes:
Stealth mode -- He figures that the gliders will be of little use to as a cape. So in addition to his stealth activities, he added in a stealth mechanism.
The only features is that stealth mode comes off when his thrusters are fired...coz well it defeats the purpose when thrusters are on. The other thing that in bright light, his silhouette can be observed as a tranparent being. So he can be spotted if he moves. For Bruce...being a ninja, masking himself even in brightlight isn't a problem.

His cowl: Fully covers his face, leaving just space for his facial holes. Eyes are one-way white lenses. Communication equipment is stored here. Keeps the suit operational. Heightens his senses, not just via equipment, but with suing them to augment his senses, when working at high speeds. Detects drowiness caused by confusion and adjusts the sensory equipment to enhance his perception. {in case you are wondering hw he survives flying or running so fast. besides such stuff are under research in the real world right?}

Glove:Inspired by Jean-Paul and the Flash, he adds wrist mounted Batarang launchers, where he could store up to 100 Batarang capsules (compressed to the size of a toothpick), which would expand into the batarang in his palm. It was more than enough for him. The batarang outer casing was customisable like the fangs of a snake. He also remodelled his old grappel hook, for both hands to fire from his gloves.
Fingertips: He incorporated fingertip claws into his glove for scaling purposes.

Utility Belt: contains all his equipment as he always had it, including his batsuit controls, for stealth and other functions. Contains survival kit. Remote control for his Batmobile or other equipment, bugs etc... Instead of being seperate, it is now weaved into the suit's waist. Comprised of soft box containers, it's linked by netting fabric of the batsuit. Can't be removed from him.

His boots: It also has magnetic soles that allow him to stick to surfaces as he observes his targets.

With this array of skills, suit and vehicle and an advisor like Alfred...who is now very old, he is ready to hit the streets of Gotham Again...or even play a powerful role in the JLU he created.

(for you guys who are wondering about the details and why am I using strong English words and sentences etc... pls remember: This is meant to be almost like a serious story...in the same or better maturity/seriousness of the BTAS Legacy. In Short its meant to be suitable for people from Teenagers - Sprightly senior folk!!!)

(and yeah...I hear some of you guys..."What Maturity when I am talking DC comics?" True...except...look under the hood. We have science, psychology, engineering with futuristic applications, creativity and an attitude of open positivity!!!)

As for the finale of this whole story leading to the Batman Beyond rebirth: He will be fighting...yup...but his body gets old and he suffers a few cardiac arrests along the way. Minor treatments where he solves himself. It's not because he's over-exerting himself that he gets weaker, since the suit accentuates his strength and abilities.

However, the factor he cannot avoid is the combined stress of mentally strategising he problem and then taking action on it, this time all by himself, without Alfred who had passed on. Also, while his physcial activities would be low energy, one can imagine the overall stress the entire mission, stealth and so on takes on his aging body.

This, coming to a height and NOT the mere fact of aging, causes him to have his cardiac arrest in "Rebirth" and lead him to use a gun.

We can assume, that in addition to using a gun, his psychology wasn't concentrated on the fact that he was chasing away the goon. Instead, for that moment, he took satisfaction and security with the gun (which he had never done) and subconsciously was in the same position as the hitmen who shot his parents to death. At that moment, he and the gunmen were one & the same. This was the terror in addition to his heart condition, that compelled him to "NEVER AGAIN" be Batman.

If he allowed Terry to be Batman again, it was the same reasoning as when he started the JLU (based on "Secret Origins") in his Prime.

I'm not sure if there are any takers on building our own BTAS IV plot series...

But if there are, this is not like the other thread where you are limited...I welcome decent ideas....so you can put in anything from a word to a paragraph to add to the story. comments of course in parenthesis, i.e : '(), [], {}, ...' to differentiate.

I don't mean to offend anyone when I say decent ideas, because after watching BTAS, many of you know the 'serious standard' they set for stories. So you may have had ideas for those...this is my way of getting all of us to come up with something for BTAS IV, looking for good contiuity and ideas (not goofyness), to build up. Coz I know how good some of your ideas are on this forum...truly I enjoy them.

the basic flow could be:

the first few 'episodes':
1. the environmental background (Gotham city itself) that leads to the change in suit and vehicle etc...

then progress to:
2. Bruce's own reason for using the new suit

then we begin:
3. his adventures and stories in the suit.

Its probably going to take some time...but with so many contributors I beleive its goona be good results.:-)
err...this is the point on where we begin to picture Batman in his adventures in BTAS IV.

So stories and good ideas please? So those who voted Yes, Kooguy911...stories guys stories!!!

Honestly wouldn't ever want to see Bruce Wayne in the Beyond suit.
