No, it didn't. The writing's been weak on SG-1 since season 7.

In most respects, i've been enjoying Stargate SG1 for it's entire ten year run thus far, altho I haven't seen much of season 9. I'm buying all the dvds for season 8, 9 and Atlantis 1 and 2 this autumn.

If you have a multi region dvd player, you should try getting the dvds from UK. They're normally on sale, so it's possible to pick up an entire season for 50 pounds or less. It's what I did when I wanted seasons 3 and 4. Got them all for like 80 pounds. Now I just need Season One

How do pounds compare to US dollars? I've found that Costco, Sam's Club, or any of the other wholesale types of places have just about all of the SG-1 seasons for between $30 and $40, which is pretty cheap by US standards. Best Buy tends to have them for upwards of around $38 or more (except season 6, which was mysteriously like $50).
